MEAGAN GOOD SQUASHES THE RUMORS OF HER BLEACHING HER SKIN

“Think Like a Man” actress Meagan Good is the latest sista to take to social media to dispel rumors of skin bleaching.

The 33-year old California native hit up Instagram over the weekend, posting an image of herself as a toddler, along with a few choice words for those who dare to question her love of self.

Acknowledging the stupidity of the rumor, Meagan says she still felt compelled to speak up, noting her large following of young female fans who may inadvertently misconstrue her silence as an admission.

I can’t believe I’m actually going to address this nonsense lol … Buuuut I have young women who follow me – so I think its important to give clarity because I believe that black and every other color is beautiful .. This is for those who believe that I would actually bleach my face and entire body to try to be lighter skin ???? smh …. Umm ???? No Ma’am ?. First off? I LOVE my complexion- no matter what side of the spectrum I’m at at any particular time… My skin looks various different ways for various reasons – from lighting to makeup ..style of photography or something as simple as weather and what coast on working on at any given time…?? This is my complexion-the one I was born with… I tend to get lighter and darker depending upon how much sun I do or don’t get. I looove the sun ???? I’m a Cali gal, but as I’ve gotten older and especially more recently, since I’ve gotten into my 30s, I tend not to be in the sun as much because it ages your skin terribly ????. Simply put -i’m opting to preserve my skin by protecting it and only making exceptions for vacations ????… Also for the rest of the people who feel as though my blonde hair is yet another way to look more caucasian ????????? “”GET. YO. LIFE. “”…. I went blonde for the same reason I went purple …and for the same reason I’ll probably go Green at some point ..because I felt like it. Once again , I acknowledge I really shouldn’t have taken the time to respond to this foolishness, but I felt moved to say something for every little brown girl that follows my page …I’m proud to be me brown or tan, thick or thin, natural hair or weave or dyed purple or green. MEGAN GOOD BACK ON NBC, SET TO STAR IN A NEW ZOMBIE DRAMA "BABYLON FIELDS"

Less than a year after NBC canceled her series “Deception,” which we were a fan of, so now actress Meagan Good finds herself re-uniting with the network to star in their upcoming zombie drama “Babylon Fields.”

The 20th TV produced project finds the dead rising in Babylon, New York. Originally developed and piloted at CBS seven years ago, the zombies' newly regenerated bodies are healing faster and growing stronger than anyone else, leading many to believe that they are the next step in human evolution.

Meagan will play the role of Janine Beltran, a small town doctor with an edge tasked with discovering why the town’s deceased residents have suddenly started to re-animate. 

Just like “Deception,” “Babylon Fields” will get a test run as a mid-season replacement in January 2015, and if all goes well it will be picked up and eventually added to the network’s fall line-up.

Actress Meagan Good stopped by BET’s 106 & Park yesterday to unveil her new personal app for Android and iPhone. Meagan’s app will combine all her social media profiles, as well as news, exclusive photo shoots, wallpapers and even a store to buy official Meagan Good gear.

‘Deception,’ Meagan’s first starring role vehicle on network television, wrapped up its first season on Monday and whether or not it will be renewed is apparently still up in the air. The show averaged about three million viewers a week and had a tremendously loyal following on both Twitter and Facebook.

Meagan implored fans to watch the finale, saying “It is up to you guys whether we get another season.”

NBC will reportedly announce the show’s fate sometime in June.

A lot of people ask me “How do you make the transition from video girl to actress?” It’s a little frustrating because I was acting before I did videos. But if somebody knows me as a video vixen, I’m not mad at that at all
