It takes time to heal old wounds, but the repercussions of the alleged altercation between former NFL star Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and estranged wife Evelyn Lozada continues to play out in the public.

In his first public interview since the incident, Ochocinco stopped by ESPN’s First Take to discuss what really went down.
“What happened was a mistake–that I’ve continuously apologized for, to the people that I’ve hurt, including my wife–I’ve stated that numerous times….I think me continuing to say sorry, sorta drowns it out,” he said. While he admitted being the one at fault for their split, he said that he deservedly lost everything as a result.

He also discusses his time with the Patriots, getting the ax from the Miami Dolphins and the tragedy involving Chiefs’ Jovan Belcher.

When one of Lozada's Twitter followers prompted her to tune into the show featuring Johnson who joined hosts Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith to tell them why his career marriage failed, the 36-year-old reality television attached a symbol of eyes to her Twitter account. After attaching another symbol of "watching" eyes to her Twitter account, Lozada then wrote one of her ex-husband's known catch-phrases: "child please."

Following Johnson's interview, one of Lozada's followers asked if she was bothered by the fact that her own mother still stayed in contact with her ex-husband.

"No not at all," she replied simply.

LeBron James gets this award because he finally figured out what to do. Because even the best still need to find ways to translate their greatness into something that counts, and even the best should be awarded when they finally suss it all out.

NBA Superstar and Miami Heat player, LeBron James, was named named SPORTS ILLUSTRATED‘s Sportsman of the Year. LeBron is the second player to win an NBA championship, MVP title and a gold metal in the same year. The achievements have won him the title of Sportsman of the Year by SPORTS ILLUSTRATED magazine.
LeBron reflected on winning the honor and his “Decision” to move to Miami saying,
“I remember just like yesterday when I signed here and basically, like the roof caved in. “To see that I and my team and everyone around me was able to patch that roof up, to come to this point, to come to this point and receive such a prestigious award, it’s huge.”
Sports Group editor Paul Fichtenbaum said,
“LeBron kind of made it easy on us. In a year that had really high standards, he just stood taller than everybody else.  I do think there has been some sort of closure – maybe not entirely in Cleveland, but across the nation. LeBron’s jerseys are now the No. 1-selling jerseys. I think there’s a reason for that. I think people really appreciate him for everything he can do.”
Mike Krzyzewski, head coach of Team USA, beautifully described LeBron saying,
“The game is a house, and some players only have one or two windows in their house because they can’t absorb any more light. When I met LeBron, he only had a few windows, but then he learned how beautiful the game can be, so he put more windows in.
Now he sees the damn game so well, it’s like he lives in a glass building. He has entered a state of mastery. There’s nothing he can’t do. God gave him a lot but he is using everything. He’s one of the unique sports figures of all time, really, and he’s right in that area where it’s all come together.” A voracious mind has caught up with a supreme body. The marriage is a marvel.”

And although she may be counting points, Jennifer admitted that her fiancé and the father of her three-year-old son is far stricter on himself when it comes to his diet.

Jennifer confessed: ‘Cheating for him is like, one chicken wing, instead of skinless chicken breast! He is like, no carbs; he only uses two or three seasonings, total, ever. He really understands.’
Jennifer is launching a new clothing line on QVC, JH Collection which will feature all sizes all the way up to a size 16, and says she is still coming to terms with her trimmer figure, taking a picture of herself every day.
She said: ‘It’s taken me a long time to feel it, get used to it. I’m still figuring it out with my body—rediscovering myself, how I’m perceived.’But the star added: ‘With my new weight, it’s like I have more room to play — sometimes I feel like I’m my own doll, dressing myself up.’
