The 2009 Soooouuul Train Awards were taped at the Georgia World Congress Center on Tuesday night (November 3) in Atlanta, Georgia. The ceremony will premiere on Sunday, November 29th at 9pm et/pt on BET and their new sister channel Centric.

Sasha Fierce aka Beyonce, Weezy F Baby aka Lil Wayne, and T.I. lead the nominations for the BET Awards 2009, it was announced today.
The Queen B, Weezy F. Baby, and the King of the South all scored five nominations apiece. They were followed by Keri Hilson and T-Pain with four each. Rihanna, Kanye West, Jamie Foxx , and Jazmine Sullivan each nabbed three nominations.
Video of the Year contenders include two from Beyoncé (“If I Were a Boy” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)”), Jamie Foxx’s “Blame It,” T.I.’s “Live Your Life” featuring Rihanna, and Kanye West’s “Heartless.”
Jamie Foxx will host and Beyoncé, Maxwell, and Ne-Yo are scheduled to perform at the ninth annual show, which airs live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 28, at 8 p.m. EST/PST.
Last year, Monica was featured on Peachtree TV’s reality programming, “The Single: Monica.” Her sixth album, Still Standing, is set for release later this year on J Records. Monica is so GHETTO, this just might work not to mention her Gangsta Boo boyfriend Rocko and there kids.
Another interesting choice for a new Show. Monica’s will be at BET, the Grammy-winning, multi-platinum artist’s unscripted series, titled “Monica: Standing Up,” will focus on her life in Atlanta and her attempt to rebound following disappointing sales of her last album.
Keshia and her live-in boyfriend, Atlanta businessman Kaseem Penn, have inked a deal with the Oxygen Network to star in Keshia and Kaseem, a show designed to give the audience an idea of what it’s like to be “young, rich, single and co-habitating.”
The show will debut this fall.
One of the biggest shows of fashion and music collided at the annual taping of BET’s “Rip the Runway” at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Saturday. Hosted by Joi Bryant and Derek Luke.

It's a Code 10, Man down situation. So word just got in that our favorite family members, Neffie & Frankie (Keyshia Cole's sister & mom), is getting their own show. As seen on last season of Just Like Them as I call it Keyshia only showed up to foot the bill. BET viewers love the drama of Neffie constantly trying to find herself, newly engaged (?) and her Mom on the prowl of how many young men (19,20 years old) she can fit in one episode.
Sources are also saying B. F. F.Hairstylist pictured above with Neffie and resident flaming divo, Dariel, will also be on the show playing himself. This does not come to a surprise since the show constantly centered around there drama anyway. I think this is a good look for Keyshia to distance herself and focus on her rising career. Neffie and friends went down to VA last weekend for an event in Neffie's honor. The Inspiring Women Foundation. BET has yet to issue an official statement on the status of this show.
The 2nd annual BET Honors took place last night at the Warner Theater in DC and R&B singer Monica was among the stars that showed up to pay tribute to the lives and accomplishments of “African American luminaries. The event hosted by Gabrielle Union who changed 3 times, honored the likes of Mary J. Blige, Tyler Perry and Magic Johnson. Anita Baker performed an emotional performance of “One” and “Caught Up In The Rapture” while Monica sang “Not Gonna Cry” during a tribute to Mary J. Blige.
