HELLO....ADELE SIGNS A $130 MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT WITH SONY RECORDS!

HELLO from the other side for real! British songstress Adele signed a £90 Million ($130 million USD) recording contract with American recording label Sony Records. The recording contract is the largest ever for a British artist.

Adele has been credited with single-handedly reviving album sales after a dismal record sales decade nearly collapsed the music industry.

The deal was brokered by her manager, Jonathan Dickins, just before Christmas, according to British tabloid The Guardian. The paper says Adele was already signed to Sony when she publicly trashed the label for not releasing American signer Ke$ha from her recording contract after Ke$ha accused Dr. Luke of sexually abusing her.

The Guardian — The singer, who was the best-selling artist in the world in 2015, was previously with British independent label XL, who she signed to at the age of 19. However, the deal expired this year and it is understood she was poached by Sony Music, the world’s second-largest record label.
The deal will double Adele’s £85m fortune, which includes more than £35m in sales from her latest album, 25. Released in November, 25 has been credited with single-handedly reviving album sales, having sold more than 19m copies to date worldwide

ADELE NEW ALBUM RELEASE IN NOVEMBER

Adele’s comeback has been long in the making. The British singer’s 2011 blockbuster album 21 destroyed the charts with over 11 million copies sold in the U.S. and more than 30 million worldwide.

Since then—nada. Therefore, you can expect her to make serious waves at the tail end of 2015, when she finally releases the follow-up.

According to HITS Daily Double, the long-awaited album is set for a Nov. 20 release, with the first single to drop in the first or second week of November.
While details remain scarce, she has reportedly been working with Danger Mouse, Max Martin, Tobias Jesso Jr., and OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, who co-wrote “Rumour Has It” on 21.
The forthcoming album will be her last on Sony/XL. However, she has reportedly already signed a new worldwide deal with Sony, said to be valued at more than $50 million.

In addition, Adele will take over NBC with four appearances on “Today,” “SNL,” a prime-time special, and one more appearance to be announced. The exclusive deal will still allow her to perform at the 2016 Grammys. The last time she was there in 2012, she won six awards in one night.
