Meet Sir Elton John and David Furnish's Baby Boy!

Same sex couple Elton John and David Furnish announced last month that they had welcomed a son via surrogate and now Us Weekly has a photo of the happy family. 

John, 63, and Furnish, 48, speak candidly about the birth of their first child. Ladies and gentlemen....introducing Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John! That name is going to be a beast to write in pre-k.

"I've never felt anything like it in my life," the music legend tells Us of holding their son for the first time. "You're so awestruck. What can you say? You take it in. The feeling, the joy, the warmth of his body, his breathing...I will never forget that experience ever." Adds film producer Furnish: "He's a content little guy...He just loves to be nurtured, cuddled, and sung to."

Confirmed: Halle Berry Playing Aretha Franklin In Biopic

Some might think this is a stretch but, Halle Berry is going to R-E-S-P-E-C-T Aretha Franklin's wishes -- the singer confirms Berry will be playing her in an upcoming biopic.




Franklin broke the news on the 'Wendy Williams Show' on Thursday, saying that after years of potential deals, the film about her illustrious life is finally getting made.

"For the last four years, we've been talking about [the film], and I have had a number of offers. Unfortunately, they were not good offers," she told the host (via MTV). "Now, we have something on the table. They have all of the financing on one project and the second project, and he's in the process of writing things for me to approve on the tele-film."

Tony Parker Opens Up About Longoria Divorce

Tony Parker is heading to divorce court with Eva Longoria -- but he's coping with it on the basketball court.  The NBA cheater opened up about the dissolution of his marriage, talking about the difficulty and how he's moving on.

"The most important thing is to stay strong mentally, even if these are very difficult times," Parker told France's Le Parisien newspaper (via People). "I've taken refuge in basketball because that's what I've done best since my youth."

It's not just shooting the ball that gets him through -- he relies on the "support of [my] teammates, coaches and San Antonio," along with, "my family. My whole family has been around me through this."

Star Jones Gives "Thumbs Up" To Vivca New Engagement Others say He's Using You??

From one Cougar to another Vivica A. Fox is being backed by her B.F.F.l Star Jones over her decision to marry unemployed Atlanta club promoter Omar 'Slim' White, who is 19 years younger than Fox.  

Vivca 46, was deliriously happy after White, 27, popped the question during a vacation in South Beach, Miami, over the holidays after he bought her a $60K, eight-carat diamond ring, that she purchased.

A source revealed: "A few of her friends are worried that White might be using Vivica but Star has been really supportive about the engagement. 

"However, some privately doubt White's motives but Star has been talking the decision-up and has told them to give him the benefit of the doubt and be happy for Vivica.

"Vivica is a tough lady and she has told her inner circle that they had better back her decision or run the risk of losing her friendship.

"Vivica never had any children with her first husband Christopher Harvest during their four year marriage and she wants to make up for that with Omar.

"Her friends are just hoping that Star is right and that Vivica has made the right decision by getting engaged to somebody who is much younger and less known than her."

GAME ON...Opens to the biggest numbers of any show in BET's History

Pop...Pop bottles, BET’s “The Game” returned with a bang Tuesday night with an impressive 7.7 million viewers, more than double the typical audience when the show aired on the CW. It’s also by far the biggest debut for any show in BET history.


If it can hold anywhere near those numbers the rest of the season, this could effectively be a “Game” changer for BET, known until now for sitcom repeats, recycled films, music programming and reality shows.

The network has been heavily promoting the scripted comedy on billboards and on BET itself. A marathon of old “Game” episodes a few days ago drew strong numbers as well.



“The Game” was a popular spin-off of “Girlfriends” from 2006 to 2009 but its numbers drooped when the CW shunted it (and its other 30-minute sitcoms) to Friday nights in 2008-09.


The executive producers, in an interview last week, were hoping for an opening along these lines and they got it.  Its 7.7 million was bigger than several original network shows last night, including ABC’s ‘No Ordinary Family,” Fox’s “Million Dollar Money Drop,” NBC’s “Parenthood” and ABC’s “Detroit 187.”

Whipping Their Hair Willow, Jaden Smith NAACP Image Awards Nominations

With two kids who have become trendsetters at an early age, Will Smith and Jada Pinckett Smith are proud parents this morning.  Reason being their two precocious children – Jaden, 12, and Willow, 10 – both earned NAACP Image Awards nominations on Wednesday.

 Jaden is up for outstanding actor in a motion picture for The Karate Kid, while Willow will compete for best new artist as well as outstanding music video for "Whip My Hair."

Tyler Perry was recognized in a big way, with his film and TV productions earning a total of 19 nominations. Two of his features, For Colored Girls and Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married Too?, are up for best film.


Other notable nominees include Rihanna, Kanye West, Sofia Vergara, Nicki Minaj and Justin Timberlake – the latter not for his music but for his supporting actor's gig in The Social Network.  The 42nd NAACP Image Awards ceremony will be broadcast March 4 live on Fox at 8/7C.
