Jay-Z sues Red Sox David Ortiz over nightclub name

It's "Big Pimpin" versus "Big Papi." Jay-Z is having to "Brush His Shoulders Off" and has now filed a suit against Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz for naming his Dominican nightclub after his chain of "40/40" clubs.

The lawsuit, filed Thursday in Manhattan Federal Court, accuses Ortiz of naming his Santo Domingo club Forty-Forty in the hopes of trading in on the rapper's fame.

Ortiz could have named his club 30/30 10/10 anything but 40-40 so he spelled the name out and that's suppose to make it a different name.."Boy Stop"!!.

 The suit seeks over $5 million in damages and for Ortiz to forfeit any use of the 40/40 name.

"David Ortiz is fully aware of Plaintiff's Manhattan 40/40 club, since he had been a patron there on several occasions before he opened his Infringing Forty/Forty club," the lawsuit states. Court filings included photographs of Ortiz at the club.

 The clubs are named after the feat of hitting 40 homers and stealing 40 bases in one season , something Ortiz hasn't done.

 I'm thinking this is a good look for her Diddy definitely knows how to manage people....and destroy careers if you don't "watch out". And Rick Ross needs help from anyone with his struggling career.

It's confirmed BET has a "Killer" new show line up. Comic Steve Harvey is bringing his morning radio show to television. It's gets better the simulcast will begin this fall on Centric, the spin off network to BET that appeals to older viewers.

BET also said Wednesday that Academy Award winner Mo'Nique will return for a second season of late-night comedy. BET says it will also take on  fan favorite"The Game," a series that used to air on the CW network and in syndication. The network also plans to start a romantic comedy called "Let's Stay Together."
