Jay-Z, Will & Jada Go Broadway For "Fela" Production Team

Well there moving on up...Fela Broadway play that is.  Deep pockets Jay-Z, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have signed on as producers of the new Broadway musical “Fela!” and will attend the show’s opening night at the Eugene O’Neill Theater next Monday, Nov. 23, a publicist for the production said.

“Fela!” represents the first time that Jay-Z and the Smiths have joined a producing team of a Broadway show. Their artistic involvement in the musical is bound to be minimal, given that the show is already in previews and had a critically acclaimed run Off Broadway last year. The trio will be out promoting the stellar play as well.

DC Native and  hot new upcoming recording artist Wale recently sat down with HoneyMag.com to discuss the pressure surrounding the sales of his debut album, Attention Deficit, the unfortunate early online leaks, connecting with his female audience…and Solange.  (see below excerpts from the interview )

On Solange

“I do love her,” he admits of Solange, flashing a Cheshire. “We’re friends. She’s amazing. She’s a good person. Any single mother contributing to society the way she does – I got a lot of love for them. She’s got to do a lot on her own and raise a young black man in this day and age so my hat goes off to her. She’s definitely an anomaly. And the way she can do that and manage to do the same things that I complain about having to do.”

On his female fans

“I think people try too hard to market to females,” says Wale. “They insult their intelligence. I feel like there are going to be a lot of females who miss out on some great music on my album just because I wasn’t a huge radio artist.” His affection is as obvious as a set of flushed cheeks. And impossibly adorable. Wale, the former mixtape rapper from inner city DC, is borderline giddy. “Did you interview Solange about me?” Wale asks. He’s sprawled across his bed; head practically buried in the pillow. “Did she smile when you mentioned my name?”

Janet Jackson Explosive Interview: The Doctor Killed MIchael Jackson

Mrs. Jackson if your nasty came out in a recent interview. While many of her family members have danced around the accusation, Janet Jackson isn't hiding her thoughts on who's to blame for her brother's death.

Dr. Conrad Murray is at fault for Michael Jackson's premature passing, she says.

"He was the one that was administering," she tells ABC's Robin Roberts in an exclusive interview airing Wednesday night. "I think he is responsible." "I couldn't believe it," she says, recalling June 25 and the moment she found out her brother was deceased.

"I was at my house in New York," she remembers. "You know, another day. Another morning. And I get a call...[my assistant] said, 'Your brother's been taken to the hospital. It's on CNN right now.' I called everyone...I spoke to Mother. I spoke to Tito. I spoke to my nephew Austin. I spoke to my sister La Toya.

Kardashian Ladies Throw Kourtney a Baby Shower

It was all about adding to the Kardashian clan Saturday as nearly 80 guests joined Kris Jenner and her daughters Kim, Khloe, Kylie and Kendall to host a baby shower for Kourtney. The first-time mom-to-be, 30, is due in December, with boyfriend Scott Disick's baby.

"She's a really cute pregnant girl. It's just a big belly," Kim said when she was planning the party. Check out just how cute Kourtney was when she was still hiding her belly!

At the shower, guests nibbled on chocolate-covered strawberries from Studio City-based Berry Elegance, and while Kourtney loaded up on gifts, so did they! Each attendee received a Le Sport Sac weekender bag filled with We Pilates shirts and scarves; a bottle of Essie nail polish in a limited edition color called "Little Baby Dash" –

Sammy Sosa Celebrates His Birthday And New Face!!!

The world went crazy last week when baseball legend Sammy Sosa showed up damn near white.  At first he pretended it was a skin condition (cough, cough Michael Jackson).  He later admitted he had been bleaching his skin to beautify himself, skin rejuvenation...ummm hmm??.  Now Mr. Sosa is once again showing off his new lighter glow.

The newly light skin latino  brother Sammy Sosa was in attendance at his birthday party over the weekend.  After close observation it appears the new light skin brother missed a spot he forgot to put that bleaching cream on those hands and I"m sure the rest of his body?.  Let's not forget the color contacts didn't people stop wearing those 10 years ago ?? This drastic change has left most of his fans SMH...!!

This was so cool Janet Jackson fans gathered at The Grove in Los Angeles on Saturday for a flash mob. Fans from all different shapes and sizes danced to several of her hits including “If,” “Rhythm Nation,” and “Miss You Much.” Janet herself was present, watching from an upstairs balcony. Her greatest hits album Number Ones hits stores Tuesday.
