Just In: Conrad Murray Sentenced The Max For The Death Of Michael Jackson

Justice served...

Judge gives Dr. Murray maximum time for the involuntary manslaughter of music icon. Dr. Conrad Murray, who was convicted of the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson on November 7, was sentenced to four years in prison on Tuesday. Prosecutors had been seeking the maximum four-year prison term, while defense attorneys for the physician had argued for probation.

Murray had been the subject of a six-week trial that began in October, during which he was portrayed as a personal pharmacy for the legendary pop singer, dispensing dangerous amounts of the anesthetic propofol that coroners say caused his death. 

Murray, who was paid $150,000 a month for his services beginning in 2009, declined to testify in the proceedings but had maintained his innocence. 

Usher's Ex-Wife Goes To Court Does Not Want Him To Have Joint Custody Of His Kids

Wow...maneka aka Tameka Raymond we thought she got off of her broom and settled down since the checks are in the mail but that's not quite the case TMZ is reporting:  

Usher's ex-wife wants to take away his kids ... claiming the singer has repeatedly blown off his legal obligations as a co-parent basically a "deadbeat dad" ... and even worse -- he CLOSED her Saks 5th Avenue credit card ... this according to court docs obtained by TMZ.  Tameka Raymond who has 2 kids with the R &B crooner has filed papers in the ATL asking a judge to strip Usher of joint physical custody of their children ASAP. 

According to the docs, Tameka claims Usher has repeatedly FAILED to obtain her permission to travel outside the state with the kids ... which he's legally obligated to do. 

But Tameka has much more then that on her mind.

Tameka also claims Usher is required and has failed to: 
-- get her approval before hiring nannies
-- give her first shot to watch the kids when he's away for more than 8 hours
-- allow her to take the kids for 2-weeks in the summer of 2011
-- let her have custody of the kids during Christmas break 2010

Tameka also claims Usher closed her Saks 5th Avenue credit card -- which he specifically said he wouldn't do -- and now she can no longer take advantage of the "special benefits" the card offers. 

According to the docs, Usher also promised to pay $5k per month so Tameka could hire her own nanny for the kids -- but he hasn't paid in months, and now owes $34,000 worth of payments. TMZ is reporting that Wednesday there will be a hearing on this case.

Tyler Perry: I  don’t know your name, but I know your face. I don’t know your journey, but I know where you are. I am your brother!  must tell you, what you have done is so courageous. The strength that it must have taken for your 11-year-old voice to speak out.

I was enduring a lot of the same things that you’ve come forward and said happened to you, and it was awful. I felt so powerless. I knew what was happening to me, but unlike you, I couldn’t speak about it because no one saw me. I was invisible and my voice was inaudible.

So to think that you, when you were only 11 years old, spoke up—you are my hero! I’m so proud of you. You have nothing to be ashamed of. I want you to know you didn’t do anything wrong. It’s not your fault. Please know that you were chosen by a monster. You didn’t choose him. You didn’t ask for it and, most of all, you didn’t deserve it. What a huge lesson that was for me to learn. Your 11-year-old self was no match for wicked, evil tactics of this kind. You were hunted like prey. A pedophile looks for the young boys he thinks he can manipulate. The ones who have daddy or mommy issues, the ones who are broken, and the ones who are in need. But this wasn’t you.

Basketball Wives Evelyn & Fiance Chad Ochocinco Land Spin Off Reality Show!

 

Can we say "Cha-Ching"!! Evelyn Lozada is parlaying her Basketball Wives fame into another show. it has been officially released that not only did she link a book/film deal with Cash Money but the two will also star in their own reality show spin off  after next season of Basketball Wives. 

Although there were rumors of Evelyn threatening to stop the show she has now agreed to a deal with VH1 that will give her sole control over a reality show based on her life with Chad

The new reality show offer must have been one the reality star couldn't refuse and although she has been upset with blogs lately who speak bad about her and fiance Chad, her threats to end the show has forced VH1′s hands behind their backs in agreement to allow her the space she needs to not only attend Chad’s football games but see her daughter off to college.

This means that we will be seeing less of Evelyn during the new BBW season but she definitely got the  icing on the cake with receiving her own spin off show. According to TMZ the show will also show viewers Evelyn’s preparation to her marriage with Chad……this shall be very interesting. We all know that reality shows equal relationship suicide ask Kim Kardashian 72 days!

Jennifer Lopez Goes Public With Her 24 Year Old Back-Up Dancer Boyfriend

We are "shaking our head", seriously Jennifer? seriously? Not only are you being a cougar, but you have been there done that remember her marriage to her back-up dancer Chris Judd back in 2001 when they filmed the video "Love Don't Cost A Thing", the marriage lasted two years.

Jennifer Lopez and new toyboy lover Casper Smart are heating up, and they don't care who knows it.  The couple were pictured cuddling up together on a sun lounger as they enjoyed a romantic getaway in Hawaii over the holiday weekend.  At one point Jennifer laid her head against the dancer's toned chest and seemed very comfortable in his company.

The 42-year-old singer celebrated Thanksgiving on the island of Kauai with her twins, other family members and her young boyfriend. But Friday it was all about one-on-one time for the millionaire superstar and her 24-year-old beau, as they got affectionate in a cabana.  Looking very much the couple, the scantily-clad pair hugged and cavorted in the shade as the sun beat down outside. 

They both sipped on exotic looking cocktails and Casper had a big grin on his face like the cat that got the cream. An onlooker told sources: 'He seemed very protective towards her, it was quite sweet... he seemed like the older one, they seemed if not love, well, very happy to be together. Jenny from the Block was reportedly been seen frolicking on a beach with her three-year-old twins, Max and Emme. Casper, whose real-name is Beau Paul Smart, has tried to remain in the shadows, until today.

That special bond was strengthened after their father passed away when they were young. Concerned for their safety in Queens, New York, the sisters were sent to the Dominican Republic to be raised.

Big "O" Heads Back to TV in January with “Oprah’s Next Chapter”

We knew she couldn't stay away for long, although Oprah left day time television, many felt that they could fill the void with shows from her fairly new network OWN. While there are great shows on OWN, including one of my favorites Oprah’s Lifeclass, ratings haven’t been as great as one would think. Well, things are about to change at OWN because Oprah’s coming back to TV to give everyone the fix they’ve been missing. Yes, you heard correct – Oprah’s back!

On January 1, 2012 Oprah’s Next Chapter will debut on OWN in a 2-hour premier event. After a 7-month hiatus from TV, we’ll get to see Oprah like we’ve never seen her before. Instead of filming live with a studio audience, she’ll be traveling the world interviewing, mingling, and breaking bread with all types of people including newsmakers, real-life families and celebrities such as Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler who will be in the premier episode. During the season we’ll see her journey to Haiti 2 years after a devastating earthquake took the lives of so many and have slumber party with Food Network favorite Paula Deen.

J.R. Martinez beats out Rob Kardashian, wins 'DWTS' Season 13

J.R. Martinez may not have out-shaken his bon-bon next to Rob Kardashian's plentiful derriere, but the Iraq war veteran and actor capped off a solid season on the dance floor with a victory that will likely make his just as much of a household name.

Make no mistake about it, the dance floor belonged to the troops on Tuesday night's emotional, surprising season 13 finale of "Dancing With the Stars."

"First and foremost, I want to thank the viewers who voted for us for 10 weeks," a glowing Martinez said shortly after being announced winner.

"Thank you, America, for believing in us," he continued before turning to thank his partner, dancer Karina Smirnoff. "You are amazing, and I'm so glad I could be a part of your first mirror ball."

"You are such a catalyst for joy," judge Carrie Ann Inaba remarked.

This is the first first-place finish for recently engaged Smirnoff, who put off her wedding plans earlier this year to focus on the dancing competition.

How Cute Usher On Daddy Duty

Usher might have missing the AMA's over the weekend, but the "paps" caught up with the R & B crooner.  After attending a memorial service for late hip-hop star Heavy D on Friday, the father of two actually spent the weekend with his two biggest—and yet, perhaps, smallest—fans, sons Usher V (aka Cinco) and Naviyd.

And the two mini Ushers were all bundle up in there pre-winter clothes.  Usher strolled around Manhattan with his little ones on Saturday, making several stops, including one at the Balloon Saloon—a party planning and decor store that looks just as festive as it sounds.
