Preview: ‘DARK GIRLS’ DOCUMENTARY – CAN THE DARK VS. LIGHT-SKINNED ISSUE BE RESOLVED?
The never-ending story among the African American culture has spilled out on the screen. In an upcoming documentary entitled Dark Girls, it explores “the deep-seated biases and attitudes about skin color–particularly dark skinned women, outside of and within the Black American culture.” The Bill Duke and D. Channsin Berry-directed film is set to be released in Fall/Winter 2011. Peep preview below:
