THE CAST OF FX NEW SERIES ATLANTA ATTEND NYC PREMIERE

Last night, FX hosted a private screening of their new original comedy series “ATLANTA” at the Paley Center for Media in New York. Over 300 local media and influencers packed the venue to get a sneak peak of the much-buzzed about show. John Solberg, EVP of communications a FX Networks, welcomed the guests and introduced the two 25-min episodes. 

A Q&A moderated by “The Breakfast Club” host Angela Yee and featuring “ATLANTA” cast members Donald Glover (also the show’s creator, executive producer, writer, director and executive music producer), Brian Tyree Henry and Zazie Beetz immediately followed the screening. Additional attendees included Elle Varner, rapper Consequence, Chef Roble, Cipha Sounds and more.

JAY Z PROTECTS BEYONCE FROM A HYPE FAN

Jay Z proves he’s “Crazy in Love” with Beyoncé once again, protecting his wife from an overzealous fan.

The ’03 Bonnie and Clyde attended the premiere of Hands of Stone at the SVA Theatre in New York on Monday (Aug. 22) and on their way out, fans swarmed the couple. One onlooker managed to get close to Queen Bey, looking for a selfie.



But Hov thwarted’s his plans. As the fan approached ‘Yoncé with camera phone in hand, Mr. Carter stepped in and pushed him aside with one arm, prompting security to further deter the spectator. A video of the incident was released by TMZ.

The Carters were out to support their friend Usher, who stars as Sugar Ray Leonard in Hands of Stone. Usher posted a photo of the couple on Snapchat, writing, “Familia.”

Beyoncé and Jay Z have had quite a year. Their relationship was the subject of rumors and gossip with the release of LEMONADE, an album some speculate to be about their marriage. Since then, they’ve been named the world’s highest-paid celebrity couple, and rumors have spread about a possible joint album.

NEW: KIRK FRANKLIN FEAT. PHARRELL – ‘123 VICTORY (REMIX)’

Kirk Franklin and Pharrell Williams are victorious.

Teaming for “123 Victory,” the duo delivers a gospel-tinged remix with an uptempo vibe, revamping the Losing My Religion single.

“When will we see we are one?” sings Pharrell. “We’re all descendants from the son / Waiting for the master to come.”

Released last year, Losing My Religion features guest appearances from Tasha Page-Lockhart, Zacardi Cortez, Kim Burrell, Lalah Hathaway, Sarah Reeves, Tasha Cobbs, and Tamela Mann.

Since then, Franklin has teamed up with the likes of Kanye West, Chance the Rapper, Kelly Price, and The-Dream on “Ultralight Beam” and again with Chano on “Finish Line/Drown.”
