TAMEKA FOSTER RELEASE A STATEMENT: USHER SAW MY DECEASED SON ONLY 1 TIME WHILE IN THE HOSPITAL

Is there any good in going through all of this? This soap opera is so sad, Tameka is releasing a statement just days after burying her 11 year old son Kylie Glover.
Tameka just released a statement in which she addresses all the rumors and gives thanks for your support:  My Personal Statement (NO PR, NO "Team"...Just ME) by Tameka Raymond:

To begin, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the countless number of people who opened their hearts, extended their prayers, well-wishes and remained hopeful for my son Kile during the last weeks of his life.
I truly believe that he has always been an Angel from birth and the World was just too small to contain a spirit so vast. I’m thankful and blessed to merely be the vessel that carried him and humbled that God gave him to us to love.
I also feel humbled by everyone’s show of concern, and knowing that Kile Glover touched the lives of so many has given me strength during my worst & darkest hour … Again I THANK YOU ALL!
Sadly, I remain in the unfortunate position of having to respond to and attend court proceedings that were not initiated or begun by me. I did not file this custody case (January 2011) and was content with the ‘joint custody’ arrangement that we share.

Most importantly, nor do I wish to appear in court while I am mourning the loss of my son. But I do not want to delay thus prolong these proceedings either; I’d rather continue this arduous process hoping it will help move me through this most difficult period in my life. People seem to be privy to only my filed responses as ‘Defendant’ to the initiation of this case (Jan 4, 2011), when I have only been defending myself and protecting the best interests of my children through my counsel.

I cannot control how the media reports are written/slanted/spun or even how court documents may be manipulated in their attribution of certain statements as if they are direct “quotes” from me- yet I can control what I actually say myself.
This may sound really cliché but you must NOT believe everything you read or hear and never judge… especially without solid facts and always, but always consider the source. Discernment is key. My boys are my entire world and I will fight tooth and nail to keep all of my sons together as a family, I pray for a swift, peaceful resolution so that we all can move forward.

Again, thank you for your concern, positive energy and hope for my family during this surreal time. There have been times when just the right words, at the right time, have provided me shelter through this storm and I appreciate you all. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.
With Love & Light,

BEYONCE IS DOING A VIDEO FOR "I WAS HERE" TO CELEBRATE WORLD HUMANITARIAN DAY

The World Humanitarian Day music video for “I Was Here,” a ballad off Beyoncé’s 2011 album 4, will be filmed in front of a live audience at the UN General Assembly Hall in New York and released globally on August 19. Beyoncé and the song’s writer Diane Warren are donating the video to the campaign.

“We all see the headlines and we think what can I really do to help?” said Beyoncé. “World Humanitarian Day is an opportunity for all of us to work together to make a difference. This is our time to leave our mark on the world and show that we were here and we care.”
The video will be helmed by production company Ridley Scott & Associates and directors Kenzo Digital and Sophie Muller. The campaign aims to reach 1 billion people with a single message when it launches.

In 2008, the UN General Assembly designated August 19 as World Humanitarian Day to raise awareness for humanitarian assistance, recognize people who risk their lives to help others, and commemorate the day in 2003 when 22 people lost their lives in an attack on the UN offices in Baghdad.

MEGAN GOOD COVERS UPSCALE MAGAZINE CHATS ABOUT BEING A PASTORS WIFE

1st lady Megan Good-Franklin who wants to be judge by her ability and not by her looks,  is one of Hollywood’s finest actresses and this month she can be found on covers of the latest issue of Upscale Magazine. Look for the new issue in which she opens up to UPSCALE Magazine about what true power is in her eyes, and how her husband, DeVon Franklin, brought love and healing into her life.

And the gorgeous 30-year-old is determined to show people she hasn’t been typecast as the sexy girl every man wants.
Here are some excerpts from the magazine:

Meagan On being typecast:
“There were a couple times where the director said ‘We really like you, but you’re a little bit too sexy.’ And I’m like, ‘Well, what do I need to do? Wear a turtleneck? You know, loose-fitting clothes?’ And they’re like “Nah, it’s just something that you give off.” I don’t know that I necessarily believe that. I believe that people, when they have a pre-conceived notion of who you are, and things you’ve done in the past, sometimes they forget that as an actor you’re able to shut off whatever you need to shut off, and you’re able to turn on whatever you need to turn on.”
On her love for her husband Devon Franklin:
“To me there’s nothing sexier than a man that loves the Lord. I can’t imagine anything more attractive. And then, we just get each other, we don’t judge each other. He understands me. His love has brought a lot of healing to a lot of areas that have been really painful for me. ” “Being with someone who is a preacher as well, people tend to try to sensationalize everything you do. So that’s definitely been a different experience for me…”
On what true power is:
My definition of power is being able to move, and live, and do the things that you aspire to do and that you believe are part of your purpose to do, without letting other people’s opinions or judgements manipulate your direction, without getting discouraged when a door closes, and just kinda having a good sense of self, and knowing who you are, and being strong in your walk with God. All of that, to me, is what power is.”
In other news Meagan’s boo ordained pastor, Devon Franklin has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Production at Columbia Pictures. Here’s what Columbia President had to say about Devon:

Franklin will “develop and supervise production of commercial material geared towards the urban and faith-based markets,” the studio said Tuesday. Franklin’s assignment will see him work with several divisions at Sony Pictures, including Screen Gems and Affirm Films as well as Columbia.
“We are proud to recognize his achievements with this promotion. DeVon is positioned to capitalize on his unique skill set, experience and relationships and will further define Sony as an industry leader in telling stories for a diverse audience,” said Columbia Pictures president Doug Belgrad, to whom Franklin will report.

VH1 EV AND OCHO PREMIERES IN SEPTEMBER

VH1 wants you to know...Ev And Ocho doesn’t premiere until September 3 (set your DVRs!!), but we were lucky enough to get some exclusive wedding photos straight from their wedding photographer for you guys to check out.

In these two shots you can get a better look at the happy couple’s wedding outfits, including Chad‘s amazing gold spiked shoes and one of Evelyn‘s three wedding outfits. Gorgeous!

Press release:
VH1 has followed Evelyn’s story through four seasons of “Basketball Wives.” Now “Ev & Ocho” presents a behind-the-scenes look at Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and Evelyn Lozada’s journey to “I Do.” Viewers will watch Evelyn and Chad work together through the tough times to reach the goal of their dream wedding with celebrity wedding planner Diann Valentine. From deciding on the perfect cake and designer dress, to Evelyn dealing with Ocho’s unconventional wedding demands, this ceremony will definitely go down in the history books. Preparation isn’t easy, and the couple’s timing is tight as Evelyn rushes to make sure her ill brother-in-law can be a part of her very special day. With two overflowing social calendars and two different personalities to match, these two realize planning “happily ever after” won’t be a smooth course.
Other Evelyn news, Evelyn Lozada nailed the cover of YRB magazine’s latest issue. And in the exclusive interview states:  "There was an earthquake on our wedding day!" Lozada told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview. "We were in the Caribbean on the island St. Maartin, I didn’t even think they had earthquakes there."
Luckily the rumblings below the surface didn't unsettle the event at the Le Chateau des Palmiers beachfront, and while she is waiting for their VH1 special Ev and Ocho to air before saying too much about the big day.

The bride gushed about her Ines Di Santo wedding dress, "it had a hint of blue to match Chad because he had a blue suit on," and her costars Shaunie O'Neal and Suzie Ketcham who flew to the tropical island to see her say "I do."

OPRAH WINFREY SPORTS A NATURAL DO' ON "O" MAGAZINE COVER

Oprah loses the big 'O curls to show off her natural locks.  For the first time ever, Oprah‘s appearing on the cover of O without blow-drying or straightening her hair. Oprah admitted that she enjoys wearing her hair natural as she often as she possibly can.

Like many women, Oprah even said there was a time when she wanted to just cut it all off. “I wanted to wear it close-cropped similar to Dr. Camille Cosby but her husband Bill convinced me otherwise. ‘

Don’t do it,’ he said. ‘You’ve got the wrong head shape and you’ll disappoint yourself.’ I took his advice,” she says. Although, never one to shy away from a style update, Oprah is a firm believer that changing your hairstyle can change what we see and feel is possible. “I even notice a change in my dogs when they get their summer cuts: they’re friskier and livelier, feeling more themselves once the weight of the hair is released.”
After all the makeovers she’s done in O magazine and on TV, Oprah stands firm that the only makeovers that are maintained and sustained are “those in which something inside the receiver clicks, aligning with that which is being received. The only way to real transformation is through the mind.”

KAYNE WEST & 50 CENT ATTEND MIKE TYSON BROADWAY PLAY

These are faces only a mom can love.  As Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth opens on Broadway the star was joined backstage by none other than Kanye West and 50 Cent.
Written by Kiki, Tyson's wife, with the aide of playwright Randy Johnson, and directed by Spike Lee, the piece is a one-man performance chartering the life of one of the most controversial sports figures of all time.
The autobiographical work, which is presented by producer James L. Nederlander, first premiered at the MGM Grand's Hollywood Theater in Las Vegas under Johnson's direction last March.

Speaking at the press conference to discuss the venture, the Brooklyn-born heavyweight said,
"I will just be telling [my] story. People have said the story mesmerises."
Monday, Kimye were also spotted at another Broadway play.  The rapper and his reality-star girlfriend ventured to Times Square Monday to see “Fela!” at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, where the hit show is making a brief Broadway return.
But Kardashian appeared to be mesmerized by her cell phone rather than the rump-shaking, feet-stomping Tony Award-winning musical.  According to a source in the theater, Kardashian “was on her phone texting the whole time through the first act” of the show.
Is it us or does A.)Kim looks bigger and B.) less pretty C.) Just plain unhappy?

JADA PINKET SMITH TWEETS A PIC OF HER BETTER WITH AGE BODY

Move over Rihanna Jada shows us how to "werk it" Pinkett-Smith turns 41 in September but its apparent with this body age ain't nothing but a number.
The Hawthorne star shared a snap with her fans on Twitter of herself posing in the sea baring her toned abs in a two-piece bikini. Clearly impressed with how she has managed to look so good in her 40s, Jada wrote:
"To my Forty and over crew! Don't believe the hype... we DO get better with age!"
Perhaps the secret to her enviable figure is her extremely disciplined diet which Jada recently revealed was enstilled in her at a young age.

"I don't eat for pleasure. I had the only West Indian grandmother that could not cook. She was an awful cook, and she taught me that you don't eat for taste, you eat for nourishment," Jada told Essence magazine.

VIDEO: FUNERAL SERVICE TAMEKA FOSTER & USHER STEPSON LAID TO REST

Family and friends gathered at Wieuca Road Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, Friday for the funeral service of 11-year-old Kile Glover. Kile was the son of Tameka Foster Raymond and Ryan Glover, and step-son of recording artist Usher.
Dressed in the traditional all-black attire and wearing expensive frames and red lipstick, Tameka Raymond stood by holding her son Naviyd, whom she had with Usher, while her 11-year-old’s casket was escorted to a horse-drawn carriage.
Whether overcome with grief or just being a rambunctious toddler, Naviyd noticeably struggled in his mother’s arms and cried out during the touching moment. Out of respect for the sanctity of the event, the media was kept at bay from today’s services.

Kile was honored with a video and collection of photos entitled “A Beautiful Mind.” Included in the funeral program, which was a testament to how much Kile loved and was loved by his family, was a postcard sent by him from his iPhone just before the accident:
“Hello from paradise, wishing you were here,” Kile wrote. “Our vacation is everything we have hoped for and more. We’re also excited to come home to family and friends.”
Kile was dressed in a white suit and glasses, and his body arrived at the service in a white horse-drawn buggy. Atlanta Mayor Kaseem Reed said special remarks about the child who left such an indelible mark on the world in such a brief time, reports Sister2Sister Magazine.

Many Atlanta dignitaries came to show their support for the family, including Patti Labelle, Ludacris, Fred Hammond, former Mayor Bill Campbell, Ambassador Andrew Young, Nene Leakes and producer Jazze Pha.

The funeral arrangements were entrusted to Attorney Phaedra Parks and the famed Watkins Funeral Home, under the direction of Mr. Willie Watkins.
