Written by Kiki, Tyson's wife, with the aide of playwright Randy Johnson, and directed by Spike Lee, the piece is a one-man performance chartering the life of one of the most controversial sports figures of all time.
The autobiographical work, which is presented by producer James L. Nederlander, first premiered at the MGM Grand's Hollywood Theater in Las Vegas under Johnson's direction last March.
Speaking at the press conference to discuss the venture, the Brooklyn-born heavyweight said,
"I will just be telling [my] story. People have said the story mesmerises."Monday, Kimye were also spotted at another Broadway play. The rapper and his reality-star girlfriend ventured to Times Square Monday to see “Fela!” at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, where the hit show is making a brief Broadway return.
But Kardashian appeared to be mesmerized by her cell phone rather than the rump-shaking, feet-stomping Tony Award-winning musical. According to a source in the theater, Kardashian “was on her phone texting the whole time through the first act” of the show.
