MISSY ELLIOTT TO JOIN KATY PERRY FOR SUPER BOWL HALFTIME SHOW

So does this excite you?  Well it does not excite us although we do like both.  Missy Elliott is set to touch down at the Super Bowl. The rapper will reportedly join Katy Perry during Sunday’s halftime show.

A source tells The Associated Press that Missy is slated to make a surprise appearance during Katy’s performance at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

Missy was featured on a remix to Katy’s 2011 hit “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).”

During a press conference on Thursday, Katy hinted at an “old school” surprise guest.

“I’m very excited about this guest because I thought long and hard about it and wanted to kinda bring someone back, a throwback of sorts, that definitely needed some more shine,” she said. “All I can say is that it will be a real female fun night.”

She promised that the surprise would captivate viewers. “When you hear the first ring of the chord, I think jaws will drop and faces will melt.”

MANNY PACQUIAO AND FLOYD MAYWEATHER MEET AT MIAMI HEAT'S GAME

The anticipation for the Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao fight has been high since it was originally announced! Up until this point the two having only spoke over the phone, but that changed last night at a Miami Heat’s game.

Last night Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao met face to face, but NOT in the ring! The two future Hall of Famers attended a Miami Heat’s game last night.

Mayweather sitting next to the Heat’s bench and Pacquiao was across from him. The audience was anxious to see what would happen between the two or if they would even talk? Eventually, the two Welterweight champs are seen exchanging words on the sidelines. No, there was no intense mess-talking, but instead a cordial handshake and Mayweather gave Pacquiao his number.
“He gave his number to me and said we will communicate with each other,” Pacquiao said. Michael Koncz, Pacquiao’s manager, told ESPN that the two had a “friendly discussion.”
It is hard for many to believe that these two have never met until last night. They have talked on the phone a few times, but that was it.

BIG WINS VIOLA DAVIS & UZO ADUBA MAKE HISTORY AT THE SAG AWARDS LEAD TITLE ROLES BY BLACK WOMEN

And the winner is Viola Davis won the outstanding lead drama actress prize at Sunday's Screen Actors Guild Awards for her role in "How To Get Away With Murder." Davis is just the third actress of color to nab the title.

Sandra Oh of "Grey's Anatomy" won the award in 2005, followed by Chandra Wilson in 2006, who won for the same show. Those two victories -- along with Davis' -- were all for series produced by Shonda Rhimes.
The award for outstanding comedy actress also went to an African-American performer -- Uzo Aduba won her first-ever SAG award for her work on "Orange Is The New Black" at the Jan. 25 ceremony, marking the first year both winning lead actresses were people of color. "Ugly Betty's" America Ferrera won for lead actress in a comedy series in 2006, and was the first Latina to score the prize.
The SAG Awards are an indication that Hollywood is moving in the right direction -- especially after not one actor of color was nominated for the upcoming Academy Awards -- but Davis tells Variety that there is still much progress to be made.
'
"It starts with the casting. It starts with the narratives. The narratives have got to be inclusive," Davis said on the red carpet, moments before her big win. "We're in the 21st century now. People are multicultural now. We know more now about the world and what the world looks like, and it's got to be reflected in the scripts."
