HARPER’S BAZAAR RIHANNA CHANNELS AMELIA EARHART

Rihanna shows just how fly she really is, channeling Amelia Earhart for Harper’s Bazaar’s Big Fashion Issue.

In honor of the magazine’s 150th anniversary, a blonde RiRi covers the March issue, with a seductive, over the shoulder glare. Inside the mag, she goes classic in a Tod’s coat, Emporio Armani boots, and Jaeger-LeCoultre watch, a nod to a vintage pic of the legendary female pilot.

“There’s something so special about a woman who dominates in a man’s world,” says Rihanna. “It takes a certain grace, strength, intelligence, fearlessness, and the nerve to never take no for an answer. Amelia Earhart was such a dynamic force in her industry, setting multiple aviation records in her time. So it was a no-brainer for me to team up with Harper’s Bazaar in honor of a woman who held her own with the big boys.”

In the extensive photo spread, RiRi pulls off phenomenal looks that reference Earhart’s accolades. Standing outside of a vintage aircraft, Bad Gal sports a Hermès jacket, pants, belt, and shoes combo, to go with Chopard earrings, Dior necklace, and rings.

In another photo, she dazzles in a Salvatore Ferragamo jacket and skirt, Gaspar gloves, Stella McCartney shoes, and Jacob & Co. ankle bracelet. Another shot finds her elegantly posing in Bottega Veneta and Ralph Lauren as mechanics work on a plane behind her.

One of the most eye-catching shots is one that blends Earhart with Marilyn Monroe, as Rihanna poses atop a mid-flight plane, with her Dior Haute Couture dress waving in the wind as a pilot looks up in awe.
Next month, RiRi will continue her fashion takeover when her third Fenty x Puma collection debuts in Paris.

The March issue of Harper’s Bazaar’s hits newsstands Feb. 21.

GABRIELLE UNION COVERS WOMEN'S HEALTH MAGAZINE SHARES HER BEAUTY SECRETS

Defying age...For her Women’s Health cover, Gabrielle, 44, shares her beauty secrets, which include lots of water, saying “hell to the no” when warranted, and of course, good old fashion genetics.

“My best anti-aging tip is the ability to say no,” she tells the magazine. “As women we run ourselves ragged saying yes to every freaking thing, whether it’s to our family, spouses or careers. I sleep eight hours a day and don’t let myself stress out. A lot of people call it selfish, but I don’t have any wrinkles.”

Gabrielle went on to note the key role good genes play in the preservation of her looks, saying “Both my parents have aged quite well.
They have gorgeous skin and I’m blessed to have inherited those traits. Still, I take nothing for granted. I take care of myself because along with these great genes, my family also has a history of diabetes and high blood pressure. These things lead to death and so I eat right and exercise because I want to be as vital as possible in this stage of my life.
