The nominee's are in and the blockbuster hit has earned it's right in the spotlight. The film itself was nominated for Best Picture, while leading star Gabourey Sidibe, who plays the role of Precious, was nominated for best actress, and Monique was nominated for best supporting actress, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced on Tuesday.
This is the first nomination for both ladies. Precious was directed by Lee Daniels directed and the film was" Based On The Novel By Sapphire".
The Globe Globes are one of the most prestigious awards in Hollywood and often considered an indicator of the Academy Awards. The Golden Globes will be presented Jan. 17 in Los Angeles.
