Does not get any better then this...Lupita Nyong'o Crowned People Magazine's Most Beautiful Woman In The World. The magazine made the announcement on Wednesday's Today Show with the actress winning the title that was last year held by Gwyneth Paltrow.
Starring on the cover of the new issue of the mag, Lupita gushes of hearing the news: "It was exciting and just a major, major compliment. I was happy for all the girls who would see me on [it] and feel a little more seen".
Lupita is certainly deserving of the title, which caps off an incredible few months for the actress.
A year ago no one had heard of the Mexican-born Kenyan star. It was her debut acting role in Steve McQueen's 12 Years a Slave that put her firmly on the map, with her casting coming just before she graduated from Yale. Talk about beauty and brains.
The role of Patsey led to critical acclaim and an Academy Award for the actress, who beat out the likes of Jennifer Lawrence at the 2014 Oscars last month.
It's not just her acting plaudits that have sky rocketed Lupita's fame though. She's become a fashion darling thanks to her string of red carpet couture gowns during awards season.
She's already been snapped up by Miu Miu as a poster girl and has been named as the new face of Lancôme, while she's Prada's new best friend after rocking the fashion house's designs on the red carpet.
