UPDATE **DWAYNE WADE ADMITS HE FATHERED CHILD DURING BREAK UP WITH GABRIELLE UNIOIN

**See Update in highlighted text**Olivia Pope line 1....Dwyane Wade reportedly fathered a son during a brief hiatus earlier this year from his now-fiancee Gabrielle Union, a source close to the couple told Entertainment Tonight on Monday, Dec. 30.

According to the show, the NBA player, 31, and the actress, 41, have worked through the issue "privately as a couple." ET also reported that Union was aware of Wade's child with the other woman (whom the Miami Heat player has allegedly known "for many years") prior to getting engaged last week.

The pro basketball player is father to kids Zaire and Zion. Wade was awarded custody of his children following a contentious 3-year court battle with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches. He is also raising his nephew and has made it clear that fatherhood is not a role he takes lightly, even authoring bestselling book, A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger than Basketball.

The event occurred while the couple were on a break and before the 31-year-old proposed to the Bring It On star on December 21. Union have been dating since 2009 and took a brief break in early 2013. "I was dealing with my injuries, trying to win a championship, so we kinda took a step back," the NBA superstar told Jay Leno back in September during an appearance on The Tonight Show.

Wade acknowledged the development to the Sun Sentinel, he said: 'I had a time, a part in our break, in our pain and our hurt, a blessing came out of it in my life, having a son that was born healthy. So I'm moving on.' Gabrielle was shocked and angry when she learned the truth, a source told E!, and she distanced herself from the basketball player.

Asked if the baby compromised his book about fatherhood, Wade said it did not.

“It would compromise it if I wasn’t a father first,” Wade said. “This is something obviously private for my family that we will continue to deal with as a family. But we have a blessing, too, to the bloodline, the Wade bloodline. From that standpoint, to me, it doesn’t state anything differently than what I’ve always shown.”

But they have since reconciled and his proposal, accompanied to ease the shame and pain. 

 As we previously reported, he proposed to the actress with a stunning 8.5-carat diamond ring by Jason of Beverly Hills. The couple shared snippets of their touching moment together via social media following his proposal.  

There has been no comment from either about the child. Side note Dwayne Wade got got hoeing around town, are celebrities not afraid of aids?  We hope Gabrielle really get counseling because she showing signs of a weak woman.
