NBA Knicks player 29 year old Amar’e Stoudemire is making a move in the movie business. Word on the curb the Knick star is going to be executive producer of a sports documentary, “Little Ballers.” Author and producer Crystal McCrary will direct the doc, which follows four young athletes as they go through the AAU youth league to pursue their dreams of going pro.
We hear music producer Timbaland and rapper Lupe Fiasco are composing the music, while NBA pro Russell Westbrook and veteran Patrick Ewing are set to appear in the movie. Stoudemire set up his own production company, STATosphere. His agent, Happy Walters, now heads Relativity Media’s sports division. “Little Ballers” is slated for release next year.
