Tamera Mowry-Housley, left, with twin sister Tia Mowry, is expecting her first child with husband Adam Housley in November |
"Adam and I are excited about having a baby and the blessing that he or she will bring to our lives and to our family and friends," the pregnant Mowry-Housley told People magazine. "We can't wait to meet this little miracle!"
The former "Sister, Sister" star, 33, and Housley, 40, got hitched last May in Napa Valley, where her husband's family owns a vineyard. They and are expecting their baby in November.
Their wedding was filmed for her Style network reality series "Tia & Tamera," which also documented her twin sister Tia Mowry's pregnancy.
After Tia had her son Cree last June, Mowry-Housley said she wasn't planning to have kids any time soon. But a trip to South Africa changed all that.
"It's just so beautiful there and you get a whole new perspective on life, the things that really matter,” she told the magazine. "Adam and I looked at each other and said, 'Why wait?'"
Mowry-Housley, who is also a Fox News correspondent like her husband, told the magazine that she had a rough first trimester.
"I was extremely fatigued and had morning sickness -- more like evening sickness," she said. "Luckily, it has subsided in my second trimester. I feel great as of now -- more like myself."Her reality series is scheduled to return June 11, showcasing her new role as a working wife and her sister's struggle with first-time mommyhood. And 10 months after Cree's arrival, Tia is looking forward to the new addition to her extended family.
"Her first reaction was, 'I KNEW it!'" Mowry-Housley said. "Tia is beyond thrilled. Cree now has a play date in the future!"
