Russell Simmons, T.I, Young Jeezy & LL Cool J and others will be celebrating Barack Obama’s inauguration at a Hip Hop Inaugural Ball. The Hip-Hop Summit Action Network announced the black tie charity gala will take place on January 19, 2009 at 8:00pm, at The Harman Center for the Arts, 610 F Street, N.W., Washington, DC. Russell Simmons, HSAN Chairman and Co-founder, emphasized, “The Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball will be a fantastic gala and upscale party in celebration of Barack Obama being inaugurated President of the United States. We are also recognizing the outstanding contributions of T.I., LL Cool J and Young Jeezy in helping to turn out the largest young adult vote in American history.” So I guess for this day they will forget about T.I. going to Prison in March? Sorry he's not a role model.
The Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball will kick off with a star-studded red carpet and celebrity sponsorship reception at 8pm at the Harman Center, followed by an awards presentation and a VIP black tie gala and party on all four levels of the venue. DJ D-Nice will serve as the Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball Celebrity DJ throughout the whole night. Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, left the Hay-Adams Hotel with their mother Michelle Obama at 7:10 a.m. Their motorcade emerged from a security tent that has been erected outside the posh hotel, and they drove off with nary a wave to the throngs of cameras or the waiting crowds. Malia, a fifth-grader, arrived at Sidwell’s middle school in the 3800 block of Wisconsin Avenue at 7:30 a.m., a full half-hour before the school day began. …The youngest Obama had had a little more time than her sister to yawn away the Hawaii jet lag and Chicago time change. Sidwell’s lower school, located a few miles away on Edgemoor Lane in Bethesda, doesn’t ring the opening bell until 8:30. This is the same school Chelsea Clinton went too and Joe Biden Grandchildren attended. With a Menu like this the girls will only miss there family. (Don't remember eating like that in middle school?) The Obama's arrived at 8 a.m., again plenty early, and the motorcade again used a side garage entrance, away from the rest of the drop-off crowd.

Time to "Pop Champagne". Power couples Beyoncé and Jay-Z and Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon celebrated New Year’s Eve together at Nikki Beach club in St. Barts. L.A. Reid and his wife Erica also joined the festivities at the Caribbean destination.
Mariah can be seen sitting on Nick’s lap at one point, while B takes pictures of her friends. The couples look like they had a lot of fun—laughing, dancing, and sipping drinks throughout the evening. Looks like so much fun!!
Vanity comes at a price. The 46-year-old former host of The View revealed some of the staples scars from her 2003 gastric bypass surgery. Star sipped on some champagne and chatted on her cell phone probably speaking to the doctor letting him know those scars look gross. New sources are reporting John Travolta 16 year old son died today. Sources reported the family was vacationing in the Bahamas and his son Jett who suffers from Autism had a seziure. Reports have came detailing the fatal injury was the result of Jett hitting his head on the bathtub, toilet seat, or both. And they say the intimation that Jett went undiscovered for hours is absolutely false.
Police have said the last time anyone saw Jett was when he went to the bathroom on January 1. His body was discovered by nanny Jeff Kathrein the next day at 10 AM. In fact, McDermott and Ossi say it appears Jett went back and forth to his room and the fatal injury occurred "very shortly" before Jett was found on the bathroom floor -- McDermott called it a "small window of time."
McDermott Travolta Attorney and Ossi tell us two nannies were present on the trip and Jeff was by his side 24/7. There was a baby monitor device by Jett's side and there was also a chimer in the bathroom when the door opened.
McDermott and Ossi say it is still unclear if Jett fell to the floor as a result of a seizure or if he had a seizure after falling or slipping. There was blood on the floor of the bathroom, but "not a tremendous amount." It appears the striking of Jett's head was the cause of death, though it won't be clear until the autopsy is performed Monday morning.
Jett's body will be embalmed Monday afternoon. There will be a local showing on Tuesday and later that day the body will be flown to Ocala, FL for burial. Jett was his oldest child they also have daughter Elia 8. Read More (Click Now)

TMI freak...TMI (too much information). This may be the very best police report of 2008. When Charles Barkley was busted in Arizona early this morning for DUI, he told cops he ran a stop sign because he was in a hurry to get some oral sex.
According to the officer who wrote the report, "He told me that he ran the stop sign because he was in a hurry to pick up the girl I saw get in the passenger seat."
The officer continues: "He asked me to admit that she was 'hot.' He asked me, 'You want the truth?' When I told him I did he said, 'I was gonna drive around the corner and get a b**w job.He then explained that she had given him a 'b**w job' one week earlier and said it was the best one he had ever had in his life." The report says when Barkley was taken to the station, he told one of the employees, "I'll tattoo my name on your ass" if he helped "get him out of the DUI." According to the report, "He laughed and then quickly corrected himself and said, 'I'll tattoo your name on my ass' and then laughed again." The report also says officers "found a handgun in the vehicle" which was immediately impounded. The report doesn't say if the handgun was legal or not, and the only thing that we know for sure was loaded...
