The Chicago Sun-Times broke the story. Sources say police arrived at the scene at about 1 p.m. Wednesday after getting a tip that the white SUV was seen driving through the vacant lot over the weekend, and someone saw a gun being thrown from the vehicle.
“When I heard it on the news, I said Kolin — that’s where I saw the truck come and park,” said Lawndale resident Amanda Archie.
CBS 2’s Vince Gerasole reports that Amanda Archie is one of several Lawndale neighbors who report seeing the SUV drive through the neighborhood throughout the weekend. Read More (Click Now)
