As for the other big rumor that has followed Murphy since early in his stand-up career, Edmonds says she doesn’t concern herself with talk of Murphy being gay, or supposedly carrying on a down low relationship with singer, Johnny Gill.
"Anytime you get to a certain point in your career somebody always has to put a gay rumor on you,” Edmonds
