Jennifer Hudson Opens A New Weight Loss Center In Chicago

A new day, Jennifer Hudson has opened a weight loss centre in her home city of Chicago. The 30-year-old singer and actress, who already boasts an Oscar and a Grammy to her name, beamed as she declared 'The Weight Watchers Jennifer Hudson Centre' officially open for business, today.

The Dreamgirls star, who has lost over 80 pounds, is a spokeswoman for the company.  Images of her newly honed physique adorn the walls of the building, which is nestled on Chicago's South Side in her hometown.  Looking stunning in fitted, ruffled dark grey dress and high-heeled studded black Louboutin boots she said: 'I never thought I would make it to have my own centre, I'm so honoured to be here and see this day.


But the new business venture also has another special, and personal, significance to Hudson, whose album I Remember Me, is out now. Weight Watchers had pledged to donate a portion of the centre's revenue to a foundation that Hudson co-founded in honor of her late nephew, Julian King.

Former American Idol finalist Hudson won a Grammy for her self-titled album and an Oscar for her role in Dreamgirls and she is engaged to wrestler David Otunga, 31, with whom she has a two-year-old son David Daniel Otunga Jr. with.


Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who also attended the ceremony, branded Hudson 'Chicago's ambassador to the world at large.

This weekend, R&B Singer and reality television star, Keyshia Cole-Gibson renewed her vows to Cleveland Cavaliers basketball player, Daniel “Boobie” Gibson; May 2011 the couple wed in Las Vegas. Keyshia and her train wreck family were perusing the island of Hawaii in ghetto chic style. 

The bride was surrounded by her loved ones including her biological mother and sister, Frankie and Neffe, as she exchanged vows near a waterfall wearing a white ruffled designer gown.

The Gibson’s ditched the idea of another desert ceremony and headed to the beautiful island of Hawaii for their vow renewal; the waterfall picture was tweeted by Keyshia.

 “I got my waterfall!”  Keyshia shared more wedding pictures with her fans and followers.

Lady Ga Ga Pays $35,800 To Hang Out With The Obama

Lady Gaga is apparently gaga over President Obama, and on Sunday, the Born This Way singer shelled out $35,800 to be one of the 75 people to attend a presidential fundraiser at the San Jose, California home of Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg.

Is Obama one of Ga Ga Little Monsters?  He might just be, either way the 25-year-old pop superstar made a grand entrance, as a White House press pool report states she entered the room to her song Poker Face on a pair of “sky-high heels.”

The Edge of Glory singer was “wearing a floor-length sleeveless lacy black dress, her blonde hair was gathered in a bouffant up-do adorned with a black hair piece with a black veil down the back, which she swept to the side and in front of her left shoulder."

Gaga's hairdo "added about 6 inches to her stature," according to the report. At the event, the president delivered an eight-minute speech, and did not reference the hitmaker in it. 

Crazy Ga Ga influence can definitely help the President in the 2012 election, she has millions of fans.  And her little monsters live for what she says and does.

Matt, after hearing viewers' reactions to the show, what would you want them to know about Gloria?

MATT BARNES: Just how real and genuine she is. She can hit the red carpet, but then she’s at home with two pigtails taking care of the boys and making dinner and cleaning up -- really [I want them to know] just how real her life is. I think there’s a perception of “Basketball Wives” from the first show that they’re all about red carpets, clubbing, and throwing drinks, and honestly that’s just what sells and what VH1 wants. That’s not realistic; that’s not real life. She really is a mom just like everyone else out there

Gloria, what’s your response to the comments you hear about your relationship with Matt and the show?

GLORIA GOVAN: We’re comfortable with where we are in our relationship. We’re really solid and we’re happy. That’s why we canceled our wedding in the first place, because we realized it wasn’t for us -- it was for everyone else. It was for friends, family, viewers, everyone. That was probably the best thing we could have done. I think Matt is at a different place in his life right now. He’s 31 and he’s been in the league for ten years, which is a really long time, and he’s more ready. But I’m just, like, still not there yet. The last thing I want to do is put him in a headlock and drag him down the aisle. If the wheel’s not broke… why fix it?
