New Tyler Perry Series Spin-off Starring Michael Jai White & Tasha Smith

Sorry Spike Lee, Tyler Perry is still WINNING..!!  First Tyler Perry "Madea Big Happy Family" came in 2nd place with 27.5 million at the box office over the weekend.

Now Tyler Perry is bringing another television series to TBS. On Tuesday, the cable network picked up 10 episodes of a new dramedy from the director-producer-actor called For Better or For Worse, a spin off project from his popular Why Did I Get Married? film franchise.

The show will follow the ups-and-downs of married life for Marcus and Angela, two characters who originated in the feature films ‘Why Did I Get Married‘ and ‘Why Did I Get Married Too?‘ Additional cast members will be announced in the upcoming months and the show is set to start taping on Tyler Perry studios in ATL this Summer.

Steve Harvey Act Like A Lady Think Like A Man Movie & Casting Call

Steve Harvey is making big moves and Kevin Hart will star in Think Like A Man, the Screen Gems comedy based on Steve Harvey's bestselling 2009 book Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man.

The book is a male-perspective self-help manual for relationships, with topics that included everything from why men cheat, to why men are in the fixing business and not in the talking business, to how to get the wedding ring and why independent women should reconnect with their girlish side to make their men feel necessary. Like I said, it's from a male perspective.

In the film, Hart will play a self-professed relationship expert who is quick to give advice to his crew of friends, even as he watched his own marriage crater and head toward divorce.

The comedy's scripted by Keith Merryman & David A. Newman, and Screen Gems' Clint Culpepper is out to directors for a July production start. Will Packer's producing through his Rainforest Films banner and Harvey is exec producing with Rushion McDonald and Rob Hardy. (Read More)

Yeaaaa Boy...Flavor Flav's chicken restaurant closes in Iowa

I know most people are saying what chicken restuarant or is that just what we are thinking? A fried chicken restaurant in Iowa founded by Flavor Flav has abruptly closed its doors after the reality TV star and his business partner cut ties and exchanged harsh words.

  Flav's Fried Chicken in Clinton, Iowa, closed on Sunday, just four months after opening to much fanfare.

Flav told WQAD-TV that he was pulling a license that allowed restaurant manager Nick Cimino to use his name in the restaurant because he "isn't running the business right." Some former employees had complained they were not paid.


Cimino told the station Flav was "a fraud" who was trying to get rich off of his ideas and work.  Flav, a founder of the hip-hop group Public Enemy and later a star of VH1's "The Surreal Life," opened the business with Cimino in January. (AJC)

Miami Dolphins Wide receiver Brandon Marshall Stabbed By His Wife

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall is recovering on Saturday after authorities say he was stabbed by his wife with a kitchen knife, Michi Nogami-Marshall  stabbed her husband in the abdomen in there 4 million dollar estate.


Someone in the home called 911, and Broward County Sheriff's Department officers responded. An ambulance was also ordered.

"The ambulance drivers were told to turn back because Marshall refused to be transported in the rescue truck," our cop source tells us. "He was sort of embarrassed about the whole incident. He was hoping the press wouldn’t hear of it, and he also wanted to protect his wife.”

 Marshall called a friend who drove him to Broward General Hospital, a full 30 minutes away.  Michi Nogami-Marshall, Brandon's wife of  only 18 months, ultimately confessed to officers that she stabbed her husband with a kitchen knife, but alleged it was in self-defense.

Nogami-Marshall, 26, was arrested Friday night and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon; she was released on a $7,500 bail the next day.   This booking photo released Saturday April 23, 2011, by the Broward County Sherriff's Office, shows Michi Nogami-Marshall.  Marshalls with craziness all in her eyes. Reps for Marshall released a statement Saturday that the player was recovering.

Still making the most of their Parisian getaway, Jay-Z and wife Beyonce Knowles spent Easter Sunday by having brunch at Hotel Fouquet's Barriere restaurant.  Beyonce fashionably correct, with her croc black leather purse and her two tone Red and green dotted spring A-line dress with barely a lick of make-up, while Jay has a more grunge  in Jeans vest and boots.

Later  the power couple retreated back to their reported $20,000/night penthouse suite at Le Meurice Hotel.  While in Paris, Hov met up with Kanye West to put in work on their joint album Watch the Throne.


The power couple had a date night over the weekend as well! Beyonce looked like she stepped off a photo shoot.  She looks great with light make-up messy hair and short shorts!!

Now that the duo have confirmed that they will be touring together this summer, Minaj and Spears have started bonding early and hung out in LA over the weekend at the after-party for Lil Wayne’s “I Am Still Music” concert at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Posted up in VIP at West Hollywood’s Factory Club.  The new B.F.F. seemed to be having fun laughing and paryting with the fans.
