A big congratulations to the "rude girl"(in our Jamaican voice) for making history! Superstar Rihanna has officially become the new face for Dior. Not only increasing her résumé but making her the first black face for them!
Rihanna will no longer be known as the singer bring the world hits, the Barbadian singer has expanded her repertoire! She is now the new face for Dior, becoming their first black star. She has always been known for her fashion statements, now she will be officially known for Dior’s fashion!
“It feels fantastic,” she told MTV in an interview about her historic casting. “It is such a big deal for me, for my culture, for a lot of young girls of any color.”
Dior announced the news last week that she would star in the Secret Garden campaign, which is on its fourth year. “I think to be acknowledged by Dior is just, it means a lot as a woman and to feel beautiful, elegant and timeless,” Rihanna said. Although, the “Four Five Seconds” singer has graced the cover of countless magazines, this will be the her first time modeling for the French label. The Campaign will release this Spring!
