Biopics have been increasingly popular in the past year, and leading man Jamie Foxx may be the next up to star in a major leading role. Known for his impeccable portrayal of Ray Charles in Ray, Foxx is currently in talks to bring civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr. to life on the big screen. The film, which has yet to be named is one of a few MLK biopics in the works. Oliver Stone is also in talks to be the film’s director, having an eye for bringing biographical pieces to light in a fresh way.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that meetings have taken place with both Foxx and Stone, but no offers have been made as of yet. foxx currently filming opposite Quvenzhane Wallis "Annie", the update of the classic comic strip-turned-musical Would you like to see Jamie Foxx play Martin Luther King, Jr.?
