Brown) early Monday said Hilton, her mother and sister, were driven late Sunday by her lawyer Richard Hutton, to the Men's Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles, where Paris officially surrendered to the L.A. County Sheriff. She was then driven to a woman's jail in Lynwood where she is now serving her sentence. Hilton left her house for the MTV Music Awards earlier in the evening. But after appearing on the red carpet, she went to her parents' house where she was picked up by her lawyer and went straight to jail without returning home.

In a statement quoted, Hilton said she was scared but ready to face the consequences of violating probation.
