The stars showed up and showed out at the 2015 Costume Institute Benefit Gala aka the biggest fashion event of the year at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday. This year’s theme was “China: Through the Looking Glass,” and some stars decided to dress for the occasion, donning Asian-inspired ensembles, while others made their own fashion statements.
Rihanna turned heads in a dramatic yellow haute couture gown by Chinese designer Guo Pei. The train was so large that it required four people to carry it.
Kanye West stepped out in Balmain, while his wife Kim Kardashian stunned in a sheer Roberto Cavalli gown. Fresh off their provocative 3AM fragrance ad, Diddy and Cassie were one hot couple on the carpet. Check out some of our favorite looks below:
Daring to bare: Jennifer Lopez made sure to highlight her derriere in a racy red Versace gown.
Showing everyone how it's done: Jaws dropped when Rihanna arrived in yellow Guo Pei
Sarah Jessica Parker & Andy Cohen
Katy Perry and Madonna
A severe look: Lady Gaga teamed a netted custom Alexander Wang for Balenciaga black and white robe with a headdress, sparkly platforms, and extreme eyebrows.
Solange
Diddy & Cassie
NBA superstar Dwyane Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union gave sultry but boring as they attended the ‘China: Through The Looking Glass’ Costume Institute Benefit Gala.
Ooh la la: Kendall Jenner skipped the theme in favour of a very racy green Calvin Klein number, leaving lots of sideboob on show.
FKA twigs and Robert Pattinson
