Oprah Takes Gospel Singer Winans Off Her Show Beacuse Of Abusive Past

Chris Brown isn't the only one assaulting women these days. Oprah Winfrey is removing gospel singer BeBe Winans from her show's "karaoke challenge" until charges against him for allegedly pushing his ex-wife to the ground are resolved.Winans appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" last week and was seen in promos for future appearances. Now he'll be cut out of the segment, said Winfrey spokesman Don Halcombe on Thursday. Winfrey was criticized by some bloggers this week for including Winans after she had taken a strong stand against domestic violence earlier this year. She did a show on the topic when singer Chris Brown assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna. The daytime TV leader said at the time: "Domestic violence is something that I wouldn't tolerate. Period."

Rihanna First Interview Part 1(GMA)

The first part of Rihanna’s vaunted interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer just aired on Good Morning America. It was only a five-minute clip — a teaser for the real interview that’s coming tomorrow night on 20/20 – but already the singer has said more than she did in the nine months following ex Chris Brown’s violent attack on her.

GMA cherrypicked some gripping excerpts for this interview trailer. The part that everyone will be talking about came when Rihanna acknowledged getting back together with Brown in the weeks after he assaulted her. “It’s pretty natural for that to be the first reaction,” she told Sawyer. “The moment the physical wounds go away, you want the memories to go away.”

The Wait is OVA ..Rihanna gives ABC an exclusive interview, opening up about that February night when she was assaulted by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

Rihanna opens up that the ordeal was emotionally very hard for her because she loved Brown. “He was definitely my first big love,” she says. But she also warns others, saying if it happened to her it can happen to anyone

The Rihanna interview airs Thursday on Good Morning America and Friday evening on 20/20.
