KEKE PALMER PLAYS A PIMP IN HER NEW FILM

Actress Keke Palmer has signed on to star in the independent film Pimp. The Scream Queens star joins a cast that already includes Edi Gathegi (The Black List), Sarah Ellen Stephens (Straight Outta Compton) and Vanessa Morgan (Finding Carter).

Keke will play the role of Wednesday, a female pimp from the Bronx who originally goes rogue to earn enough money to escape her impoverished neighborhood. Along the way Wednesday ends up pimping her own girlfriend and from there our story starts to unfold.

Via her Facebook page, Keke told fans she decided to take on the role of Wednesday because she felt the character was a mirror of society. “Wednesday is obviously a flawed character. We all are. She loves her girlfriend and she knows right from wrong, but for money she excuses a lot of things and is willing to turn a blind eye.”

As well as her lead role in the film, Keke is also listed as a producer. Pimp is presently in pre-production and is expected to be released spring 2017.

Time to impress. Fifth Harmony swaps their construction hats for bikinis and hits the beach in the X-directed video for “All In My Head (Flex)” featuring Fetty Wap, the latest single off their album 7/27.

Just in time for summer, the ladies—Ally, Normani, Dinah, Camila, and Lauren—show off their beach bods while strutting on the sand and splashing in the water. They meet up with a group of guys and continue the dance party all through the night. Meanwhile, Zoovier comes through to deliver his guest verse in a cave.

Last night, the group kicked off its global “7/27 Tour” in Lima, Peru. They will embark on the North American leg beginning July 27 in Manchester, New Hampshire, with special guest JoJo.

The hosts are not only gearing up for next season, they are also participating in the 2016 ESSENCE Festival. Love explained, “We are going down to New Orleans, July 1. We are having a real live show on the ESSENCE main stage [in the Convention Center] — it’s free, anybody can come. We're gonna have some live girl chat. We’re gonna be doing everything we can to give and show love to our fans.”

The women will also host a day party during the festival at the Sugar Mill on Sunday, July 3. Adrienne told Mario, “We are having a white party, which I’m so excited about!”

Tune in to “The Real” when it returns for Season 3 on September 12.

ALICIA KEYS SHORT FILM "LET ME IN" SHEDS LIGHT ON A CRISIS

Alicia Keys is shining a light on the refugee crisis on World Humanitarian Day with her new short film, Let Me In.

The Grammy-winning singer plays a mother of two in Los Angeles in the nearly 12-minute visual, when her city goes under attack. Those in the L.A. area must then seek refuge in Mexico. Along the way, they face a few more hardships than they were expecting.

“I was stunned when I learned that there are more refugees living in the world today than at any other point in history, and half of them are children,” said Keys. “Creating this film really allowed us to imagine, what if we were the refugees? What if we were the ones torn from the arms of our families and loved ones? How would it feel if this were happening to us?”

The Jonathan Olinger-directed film was created in partnership with We Are Here, CARE, Oxfam, and War Child. It’s anchored by Alicia’s new song, “Hallelujah,” which is also expected to land on her upcoming album.

STUNNING LIKE HER DADDY...T.I.’S STEPDAUGHTER ZONNIQUE ARRESTED FOR CARRYING GUN AT AIRPORT

T.I.’s stepdaughter Zonnique Pullins was arrested on Thursday (Jun. 16) after trying to carry a gun through Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, according to The New York Daily News.

Authorities say that an X-ray inspection uncovered a .380-caliber Ruger semi-automatic with a clip and five rounds.

The 20-year-old, who was born to Tip’s wife Tiny, reportedly told officials that she has a permit for the weapon, but was unable to produce one. As a result, authorities confiscated the pistol.

Reports claim that the “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle” co-star was arrested at approximately 10 p.m. on Thursday and released from Clayton County Jail at around 2 a.m. on Friday.

T.I. has had his own share of run-ins with the law, including a weapons charge that he pled guilty to in 2008. He has yet to comment.
