ESSENCE magazine announces the first annual ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon, taking place during Oscar Week on Thursday. The lovely and talented actress, director, producer and screenwriter, Jada Pinkett Smith, will be one of the three extraordinary African-American women honored during the ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon, and will receive an award in the Film category. Jennifer Lopez has popped! The actress/singer and husband Marc Anthony welcomed a boy and a girl this morning in a Long Island hospital, reports People magazine. "Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon," a rep for Jennifer said. J Lo's little lady clocked in at 5 lbs. 7 oz., followed by her son weighing 6 lbs, arriving eleven minutes apart between 12:12 a.m. and 12:23 a.m. This is the first child for Lopez, the fourth for Anthony, whose eldest Arianna is from his first marriage, and two boys from his second bride Dayanara Torres, a former Miss Universe. The constant businesswoman, Lopez seems to have cleaned her entrepreneurial plate to be a mom.

ETTA JAMES SAYS "BEYONCE IS PERFECT TO PLAY ME"..!!

Beyonce never hit the breaks, Beyoncé is going to have the best coach in the biz when she takes on the role of Etta James in Cadillac Records, a forthcoming movie about Etta's life. The legendary singer tells PageSix exclusively that she's going to be advising the "Bootylicious" star herself.

"It's a privilege and an honor to have somebody like that girl. I don't think she looks like me, but that's all right. They can fix that up," Etta tells us.

And appearance isn't all Beyoncé will have to work on. "Oh my god, she's going to have a hill to climb, because Etta James ain't been no angel!" she says. The flick will co-star Adrien Brody (reportedly replacing Matt Damon) in the role of music exec Leonard Chess, as well as Cedric the Entertainer and Jeffrey Wright. Kelly, 41, had an "inappropriate relationship with his daughter, 21-year-old Maxine Daniels." TMZ received a statement from R. Kelly's spokesman saying that "

It's hard to take seriously the moral outrage expressed by George and Regina Daniels over R. Kelly's relationship with Mr. Daniels' adult daughter, Maxine. The fact is that they had no problem with the relationship -- indeed, they encouraged it -- while Ms. Daniels was on Mr. Kelly's payroll."

Tank was arrested for disorderly conduct during NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans on Monday morning, and the R&B singer has accused New Orleans Police of assaulting him. Tank was on his way to an afterparty for the NBA All-Star Weekend at the House of Blues with a female friend, Ira Dewitt, in the early hours of Monday, when they were prevented by police from venturing into the club due to a shooting in the area. New Orleans Police have confimed that the Tank, aka Durrell Babbs, was tasered and arrested at a roadblock. Not to worry he has since been released.
