Chris Brown is getting personal on his next album.
In between dates on his “One Hell of a Nite” tour, he took to Twitter to announce the title of his seventh album, Royalty, named after his 15-month-old daughter.
“It was 100% planned, as all the meet-ups have to be in line with people’s schedules and sometimes emotions can get in the way and ruin things,” a sources are saying. “He really was missing her and wanted to see her, and he made it happen. He misses Royalty whenever he’s not around, and anytime he gets to see her feels like a holiday.”
Since the news broke that he had a child with former model named Nia Guzman, Brown has stepped up to the plate and embraced his new role as dad. He gushed about fatherhood in a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest.
“I think this was just a blessing in disguise with my daughter because I get a chance to look at her and teach her the right path and also be a father in my daughter’s life,” he said. “Just to see a smile on her face—just to see the littlest things—is emotional for me, so I just love that aspect of being able to be a father now.”Brown recently shot a video for the lead single “Liquor” in Los Angeles. There is no official release date for Royalty, the follow-up to 2014’s X, but the album is expected this fall.
