YAYA DACOSTA PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE ICONS » – NAOMI CAMPBELL, PAM GRIER, LUCILLE BALL & MORE

Model turned actress Yaya DaCosta, who stars as singer Whitney Houston in this Saturday’s Lifetime original movie “Whitney,” used one of the singer’s biggest hits, “I’m Every Woman,” to pay tribute to the pop diva and a host of other female icons.

Via her website, Yaya said one of her favorite things about Whitney was how much she encouraged other women. She also noted the fun she had recreating the singer’s “I’m Every Woman” video for the film and how it inspired her to visually pay tribute to some of the world’s greatest female icons, past and present.
Yaya, with the help of celebrity photographer Jonathan Mannion, recreated eight iconic photos of women ranging from Lucille Ball to Pam Grier. You can check out the entire photo shoot below, as well as a few more gems via Yaya’s official website.
