JESSICA SIMPSON MARRIES LONGTIME BEAU

'The happiest moment of our lives!' Jessica Simpson marries Eric Johnson at California ranch with sister Ashlee and Jessica Alba by her side.  After a three-and-a-half-year engagement and two children, Jessica Simpson has finally married
Eric Johnson.

The singer-turned-fashion designer exchanged vows with the retired NFL tight end on Saturday afternoon around 4:45pm at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California, dressed in a stunning custom Carolina Herrera gown.
In an exclusive statement to People, the newlyweds announced shortly after exchanging vows:
'We are overwhelmed with complete happiness and love having made our eternal commitment.

Worth the wait! The ceremony is reported to have taken place in a tent erected on the grounds of the picturesque San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, which had been decorated with gorgeous chandeliers.

The couple were surrounded by 250 of their nearest and dearest family members and friends, who cheered as the couple wrapped up their heartfelt vows.

Following the romantic ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and a variety of hors d'oeuvres before being escorted to a private dinner where they were served a three-course meal.
The couple made their entrance into the reception as husband and wife, to the tune of a live band. Gourmet dinner was soon served - with options including short ribs, fish or a vegetarian option as well as wine and other beverages.
E! Online reports that the ceremony had concluded at 5pm, after it had been claimed the wedding would kick off at 4.

The website states that God Only Knows by the Beach Boys played during the wedding as the happy couple said 'I do' against a rose garden backdrop.

That morning, the bridal party started the celebrations early as they sipped champagne while having their hair and make-up done, according to E!.
They got engaged just five months later, though their wedding plans - which were originally going to be held in Hawaii on auspicious 11/11/11 - suffered several major delays due to two back-to-back pregnancies.
