GABRIELLE UNION & DWAYNE WADE SPOTTED AT LUNCH AFTER BET RECORD BREAKING NUMBERS FOR BEING MARY JANE FINALE

The couple looked relaxed and happy at there intimate lunch date, as they should be. Not because Gabrielle Union survived her soon to be husband scandal of having a baby while still in a relationship with her. Not because he proposed before the story leaked about him having a baby while still in a relationship with Gabrielle Union. But because her series Being Mary Jane scored record breaking numbers for the network BET. 
Being Mary Jane star then flashed her dimpled grin as the lovebirds shared a laugh over something on her iPhone. Gabrielle wore an Hermès-inspired 'Homies' hat while Dwyane matched her in a flat-brimmed white cap of his own.
It was hard to miss Union's custom 8.5 carat cushion-cut engagement ring by Jason of Beverly Hills - worth a reported $1 million. After their sun-drenched Mediterranean meal, the bride and groom-to-be exited the posh café wearing what the hotel refers to as 'smart casual' attire.

BET has ordered a second season of its first original scripted drama series Being Mary Jane, after the finale — two back-to-back hours from 9-11 PM — averaged 2.6 million viewers in the first hour and 3.2 million in the second. The season finale event became the series’ best performing episode, outperforming its premiere. (In early January).

Being Mary Jane is the top 5 weeknight cable drama premiere telecasts were dominated by new episodes of the series, and it  finished out its first season as the No. 1.
Production on Season 2 begins this spring; Union will be joined by cast members Richard Roundtree, Margaret Avery, Richard Brooks, Lisa Vidal, Raven Goodwin, B.J. Britt, Aaron Spears, Latarsha Rose and Stephen Bishop. Being Mary Jane is created and executive produced by Girlfriends creator Mara Brock Akil and  executive produced and directed by Salim Akil.
And as for there up coming wedding, according to Union, the 6ft4in athlete is involved in 'every aspect.  I didn't know even know went into wedding planning.' 'Secretly, this is like his princess moment,' she said on Tuesday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.'He's waited for this for a long time. He's been hoarding bridal magazines. He's very ready.'
