DIRECTOR OLIVER STONE CONFIRMS MLK BIOPIC STARRING JAMIE FOXX

IT'S OFFICIAL...Rumors have been circling the developments of a biopic that chronicles the life of the late Martin Luther King, Jr. Turns out, the rumors are true.

Director of the project, Oliver Stone, recently chatted with Wall Street Journal to confirm that the film — along with its lead actor Jamie Foxx — has been given the green light. Both Stone and Foxx are no stranger to each others work having worked together in 1999 for the football drama film, Any Given Sunday.

According to The Wrap, Steven Spielberg is also in on the project as a producer for DreamWorks along with the King family as possible executive producers. The movie is currently untitled.
"We're looking for a way to relate to this extraordinary man," Stone told the Journal of the film, which is described by the paper as an "authorized version" of MLK's life story. According to The Wrap, several members of the King family are expected to serve as executive producers.
