ANDRE 3000 MOM DIES AT 58, 1 DAY AFTER HIS BIRTHDAY

Sad news to report, Andre “3000” Benjamin is mourning the loss of his mother, Sharon Benjamin-Hodo, who passed away on Monday.

A representative for the OutKast rapper confirmed the sad news to Billboard.

According to unconfirmed reports, she was found dead in her Atlanta home on her son’s 38th birthday.

Benjamin-Hodo was the founder of the Starlight Camp for underprivileged children, and served as a manager for Andre and Big Boi early in their career.

Andre’s peers including Jermaine Dupri and Janelle Monáe sent their condolences. “Our Prayers and love go out to our friend André 3000 & family during this time,” tweeted Janelle.

The Benjamin family asks for the continued support of the Starlight Camp in lieu of sending flowers.  RIP Mama Benjamin you will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Benjamin family.
