VIDEO: LIL WAYNE SKATE PARK OPENING IN NEW ORLEANS & BECOMING AUTHOR

Doing good in the hood, New Orleans skate park launched by Lil Wayne and corporate sponsors. are gearing up to open. The Lower 9th Ward facility where the Trukstop skate park is located ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled to open to the public Oct. 27th.


The Grammy-winning rapper partnered with Mountain Dew and Glu Agency, a New York-based advertising firm, to launch the park, which was built with recycled materials provided by Brad Pitt's Make It Right Foundation.
 And if that isn't enough Weezy F. Baby is dipping his feet in a new pool; he’s trying his creativity at the book game. According to his website, he will be releasing a book titled Gone Til November that is set to hit the shelves on May 14th of next year which will be published by Grand Central Publishing.

The book is said to consist of a series of journals articles where Weezy gives detailed accounts of his experiences while being locked up on Riker’s Island for nine months, as well readers will get a deep look into his life as a whole. Ben Greenberg, the executive editor of Grand Central Publishing released a statement, where he expresses his excitement about working with Wanye and the project as a whole:
We are thrilled to be publishing Wayne’s prison memoir. He kept detailed journals of his inner and outer life while he was on Rikers Island, and they certainly tell a story. They are revealing.
