In an excerpt from his November cover story released Tuesday, Perry champions the power of women.

That includes two new scripted series on track to premiere in mid 2013.
Perry's series will be OWN's first step into the scripted world, and the deal comes at a time when the struggling network is on a ratings upswing. "Oprah's Next Chapter" has been a solid performer since its debut.
And we are not done...we love Tyler over here and this to us means more then anything we written thus far. After Perry heard a news report about a local disabled Georgia woman having her customized Chrysler minivan stolen from her house, the star decided to jump in and help.
Alicia Day is 24-years-old and suffers from Cerebral Palsy. She uses a wheelchair and her van is crucial for transportation.
Perry contacted Day and told her he would replace her van.
The van cost almost $60,000 dollars, Day and her family chose a 2011 Volkswagen Amerivan.
