The biggest night of the year in fashion has arrived. Hollywood stars and fashionista alike stepped out in style for this year's Costume Institute Gala that celebrates the opening of the "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations" exhibition.
Beyoncé was fashionably late to the Metropolitan Museum of Art Gala in New York on Monday. Reporters and photographers awaited the arrival of the pop superstar, who stunned in a sheer Givenchy gown with purple feathered train.
Rihanna slipped into a stretchy black Tom Ford dress with Repossi jewelry. “I love coming to the Met Ball. It’s a fun event,” said the “Where Have You Been” singer. “You get dressed up, have some nice dinner, and have some entertainment.”
RiRi is working on a clothing line of her own. “Designing is definitely in the near future for me and we’re working on it as we speak,” she shared. “I can’t really say yet. It’ll be fun and it’ll definitely be things that I love and that are inspired by my personal style.”
Justin Timberlake, who arrived with fiancĂ©e Jessica Biel, sang Biz Markie’s “Just a Friend” on the red carpet. Kanye West was handsome in a tux, Solange was beaming in a yellow Rachel Roy dress, Bruno Mars looked dapper in Prada, Azealia Banks arrived on the arm of designer Alexander Wang, M.I.A.
