The Help’s it girl Octavia Spencer took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, it will probably fit nicely on the shelf next to her SAG Award. Although her co-star, Viola Davis, didn’t win for Best Actress, she definitely had one of the best dresses on the carpet, wearing a beautiful green Vera Wang gown.
Sean “Diddy” Combs became part of history, when the film he executive produced, Undefeated, won for Best Documentary, making TJ Martin, the first African-American director to win the Award.
Sean Combs wasn’t the only member of the hip-hop community to be heavily involved in this year’s ceremony, the Neptunes’ Pharrell was selected to oversee the musical direction of the show, he did a great job.
Spencer was deeply moved by her win; check out this behind-the-scenes clip just after she received
Oscars.
