Sean Levert Widow Wins $4 Million In Wrongful Death Suit

Sean Levert who crooned a string of hits with his late brother Gerald Levert ’80s trio LeVert, died in police custody in March 2008. He was in his first week of a two year sentence for failure to pay $90,000 in child support to three children from previous relationships. In the six days he was in the Cleveland jail, Sean was denied his anti-anxiety medication, Xanax. A coroner’s report later concluded that Xanax withdrawal contributed to his death.

His wife at the time, Angela Lowe, subsequently filed a wrongful death lawsuit and on Thursday, before the case went to trial, a deal was struck.”And she was awarded a 4 million dollar settlement we know this won't bring back her husband but it's good to see justice prevail.
