60 MinutesTyler Perry Pissed At Spike Lee For Criticim

It's been said a thousand times Madea character is a little unsettling. Everybody is not on board with a man dressed as a grandmother with a gun in her purse acting ghetto "as all get up" is funny. And Spike Lee is one of the celebrity's who has come forward and let it be known.

Tyler Perry, appearing on 60 Minutes Sunday, said he was “insulted” and “pissed off” by Spike Lee’s criticisms of Perry’s hit TV shows and movies. Lee recently called Perry characters such as Madea examples of “coonery” and “buffoonery.”

“I would love to read that [criticism] to my fan base,” Perry told 60 Minutes correspondent Byron Pitts. “All these characters of mine are bait, bait to get people talking about God, love, family, and faith.”
