Almost over jurors began deliberating in R. Kelly’s child pornography trial on Thursday for more than three hours before being sent to a hotel for the night.

“We’re going to make some accommodation for you,” Judge Vincent Gaughan told them. He ordered sheriff’s deputies to bring the jurors back to the courthouse at 8:30 a.m. Friday to resume deliberations.

Prosecutors replayed the infamous video during closing arguments, while defense attorneys reiterated that it’s neither Kelly nor the person the state says was the underage girl on the tape. Desperate to sell records ??Ashanti’s new blood-splattered e-card promotion has sparked up some controversy: “Visitors to the controversial site are greeted by a fake news headline from the UCN, the Universal Crime Network, which reports that, ‘police are investigating a recent wave of violence in New Jersey. The police commissioner has hinted that there may be a tie between the recent attacks and the music video for Universal/Motown recording artist Ashanti’s single “The Way That I Love You.”‘

The link transported recipients to a fictional news report about “a string of murders inspired by Ashanti’s music.” A phone number includes a message from Ashanti thanking people for buying her album. Fans were encouraged to send threatening Gotchagrams to “lovers who scorned you”. Senders were given a weapon of choice and the type of murder they wanted to commit against the recipient. The Gotchagram marketing campaign was discontinued once the complaints began rolling in.

[In a recent interview] Ashanti endorsed the violent imagery in the video. ‘It matches incredibly with the record, It’s very cinematic as opposed to a regular music video.
