Bernie mac, TV cast of the "Bernie Mac Show" The memorial service for actor/comedian Bernie Mac (born Bernard Jeffrey McCullough) was held at the House of Hope on Saturday in Chicago. His wife Rhonda and daughter Je’Niece were joined by thousands of Bernie’s fans and celebrity friends. Lines wrapped around the building as people entered the House of Hope to remember the beloved funny man. Among the crowd were Mac's famous friends, Cedric the Entertainer, D.L. Hughley, Steve Harvey, Ocean's Thirteen co-star Don Cheadle, Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson.

"That dude is a very popular guy,"

Cedric said, according to the Chicago Tribune.

"You know ya'll were like 'let me get four tickets to the funeral!' He's still the hottest ticket in town."
