JOHN SINGLETON INVOLVED IN AUTO FATALITY: Pedestrian he hit by accident dies

*Director/producer John Singleton has become involved in a fatal automobile/pedestrian accident. It happened Thursday night. According to reports, Singleton was driving around 8:00 p.m. on a Los Angeles street when a female pedestrian, not in a crosswalk, suddenly stepped out in front of his car. Police told the site that Singleton immediately stopped and waited for police and ambulances to arrive. The woman, 57-year-old Constance Russell, was taken to a nearby hospital where she died Friday morning. According to police, Singleton was not speeding at the time and was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Cops say their investigation has concluded and they've determined that this is a "very, very unfortunate accident."
