After years of mooching off of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, her boyfriend Nick Gordon has no plans to start working for a living now. When news broke yesterday that Bobbi Kristina Brown’s mooching boyfriend agreed to a sit-down with TV’s Dr. Phil, it was assumed he would discuss the events leading up to Brown’s drowning on Jan. 31. But Gordon is under investigation by Roswell police, and his attorney has surely advised him not to breathe a word about the events of that day. But Dr. Phil has a TV show to run and advertising spots to sell. So instead of Gordon spilling the beans about his role (if any) in Brown’s drowning, all parties involved have agreed that he would undergo “an intervention” staged by his mother…
This is the first that anyone has seen or heard from a relative of Gordon’s — much less his mother.
For years the story has always been that Houston kindly “adopted” Gordon after his mother threw him out of the house. But now that access to Whitney and Bobbi Kristina’s money has been cut off, Gordon (with the help of his mother) is taking his case to the court of public opinion, aka the Dr. Phil Show.
From 11 Alive: According to the show’s website, the “emotionally-charged invention” will air on March 11. The description says, in part:
“With his mother Michelle at his side, Gordon expresses the severe pain, mental anguish and panic attacks he says he has been suffering since Brown was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub in her home in January and over the tragic loss of Whitney Houston three years ago.”
Bobbi Kristina turned 22 on Wednesday at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, where she has been on life support since Jan. 31st.
Rihanna is keeping a tight lid on her new album, but she gave her Rihanna Navy a preview of a brand new song on Thursday (March 5). The bad gal took to Instagram to share a couple snippets of a track called “Higher,” produced by Kuk Harrell and Marcos Tovar.
“This whisky got me feelin’ pretty, so pardon if I’m impolite / I just really need your ass with me,” sings RiRi over the melancholy beat before belting out the hook.
“Higher, higher than I’ve ever been, babe / Just come over, let’s pour a drink, babe / I hope I ain’t callin’ you too late.”
Karrueche Tran is saying deuces to Chris Brown. After it was revealed that the singer has a baby, his girlfriend has decided to move on. Karrueche took to Twitter on Wednesday (March 4) to share her thoughts after the bombshell announcement that Chris is father to a nine-month-old daughter.
“Listen. One can only take so much. The best of luck to Chris and his family. No baby drama for me,” she tweeted, along with a baby emoji.
The couple has broken up several times in the past, only to get back together.
Chris has yet to respond to the reports, but did profess his love for Karrueche in a recent interview. “The hardest part is trying to keep a monogamous relationship, but still wanting to be the 25-year-old sex symbol,” he told Hot 97. “I love my woman. In the same breath, I like to have fun and she know I like turning up. Even though it’s not a sexual encounter with females, I just like to be around females.”
Chris’ baby mama is a 31-year-old Texas woman named Nia Amey, who used to do modeling and appear in music videos.
It’s official. Nearly a decade since its release, T.I. has confirmed that a sequel to the 2006 movie ATL is in the works.
“#ATL2 Get Ready,” said Tip, who posted a photo of him with director Chris Robinson and co-stars Jackie Long, Albert Daniels, and Jason Weaver.
“#ATL WAS A CLASSIC #ATL2 WILL BE LEGENDARY!!!” added Robinson. “‘AND SO IT BEGINS’ THE CREW @troubleman31 @jackielong @albeback @itsjasonweaver #RITF #BONG.”
The original ATL debuted in theaters at No. 3, grossing $11.5 million in its opening weekend. The coming-of-age film is loosely based on the experiences of the film’s producers, Dallas Austin and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, growing up in Atlanta.
T.I. played the main character Rashad. Other stars included Big Boi of OutKast, Evan Ross, and Lauren London. Before he hits the big screen in ATL 2, Tip stars alongside Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart in the comedy Get Hard, which opens March 27.
Surprise! Chris Brown is a dad. According to TMZ, the R&B singer fathered a nine-month-old baby girl..."Break baby"? The baby’s mother is a 31-year-old former model named Nia, who has known Chris for many years. Nia and Chris are reportedly on “very good terms,” but are not a couple. TMZ also reports that Breezy is happy about being a dad. There is no formal child support in place.
During his visit to “The Breakfast Club” last month, Chris spoke about remaining faithful to his current girlfriend Karrueche. “The hardest part is trying to keep a monogamous relationship, but still wanting to be the 25-year-old sex symbol,” he said. “I love my woman. In the same breath, I like to have fun and she know I like turning up. Even though it’s not a sexual encounter with females, I just like to be around females.”
