MICHAEL JORDAN 50TH B'DAY CELEBRATION: KOBE BRYANT, JAY-Z & BEYONCE SCOTTIE PIPPEN, CARMELO ANTHONY CHRIS BOSH, & MANY MORE (PICS)

MJ

NBA All-Star fans know that Micheal Jordan throws a big birthday party each year during All-Star weekend.  It’s one of the most coveted invites.  On Friday at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, celebs and pro athletes turned out to wish the NBA champ a happy 50th. (His birthday is Sunday.)

Spotted in the crowd: LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Jordan’s son Jeffrey Jordan, Lala and Carmelo Anthony, Scottie Pippen and MC Lyte, who dj’ed the event. We heard Beyonce and Jay-Z attended the party and left through the museum’s back exit, as did Jordan himself. They later showed up at a Heights club for an after party.

If your invite got lost, thankfully social media can give you an inside glimpse of the party without actually being there.

BEYONCE OPENS UP..FIRST PICS OF BLUE IVY (SHE SO CUTE)

Awww... we just want to squeeze the iddy biddy chubby cheeks. Beyoncé has been very protective of Blue Ivy since her birth, but she is showing off her bundle of joy in her new HBO documentary Beyoncé: Life Is But a Dream. The adorable one-year-old daughter of Bey and Jay-Z steals the screen as her proud mama holds her up in a still from the film.
Bey, who calls Blue her “road dog,” “homey,” and “best friend,” is cautious about putting her baby in the public eye, but still wants her to have a normal childhood. “I will still be protective and make sure she has a childhood and a great time,” she told “E! News.”
Mrs. Carter realizes that when Blue gets older, she will not be able to control everything, but she isn’t worried. “At some point, you know it is what it is, you can’t control it anymore,” she said. “But I know as long as I’m the mother that I know I can be and the mother I have—such an incredible mother—my daughter’s going to be fine.”

BEYONCE ATTENDS LIFE IS BUT A DREAM PREMIERE

Beyonce is a fairly private person, but on Tuesday, she opened up about her reasons for letting the world in via her new HBO documentary, “Beyonce: Life Is But A Dream.”
“Mystique is very important… It doesn’t matter if you’re a celebrity — just as a woman — I think it’s important. But, at the same time, I felt like it was time for me to share my story because I’ve been through so much and I have so much to celebrate, so much to share,” Beyonce told Access Hollywood’s Michelle Beadle on the red carpet at the film’s premiere in New York City on Tuesday night. “And, I’ve always directed these little movies and now I have directed a film for HBO and I’m so proud.”
Beyonce admitted she was “nervous” to see the film at the screening, a project she had only ever seen with Jay-Z and her mother, Tina Knowles.

She also called making the HBO film, which premieres this Saturday, “freeing.”
“There is something really powerful and liberating and freeing. I feel free,” Beyonce said. “I feel like I’ve been able to heal from a lot of things because of this film and editing this film. And I’ve learned so much about myself, having to watch hours of footage of my life and my mistakes and things I did right and it just really has been an incredible learning experience.”
The singer was still buzzing on Tuesday night from her Super Bowl halftime show earlier this month in New Orleans.
“I feel like it’s gonna take me a few more weeks to come back to earth because I tried to go into the recording studio, and I’m like, ‘What am I doing here? I need to just chill and kind of enjoy all of that crazy work I did,’” she laughed.

VIDEO: GABRIELLE UNION TO STAR IN HER NEW FASHION FILM "THE DOOR"

Dwayne Wade boo has a new project. Fashion house Miu Miu has just unveiled ‘The Door,’ the fifth film in a series of short stories titled ‘The Women’s Tales.’ The flick is directed by Ava DuVernay, the first African American woman to win Best Director prize at the Sundance Film Festival, and stars Gabrielle Union, Emayatzy Corineldi, Adepero Oduye, Alfre Woodard and singer-songwriter Goapele.

With Gabrielle in the lead, ‘The Door’ tells the story of a group of friends who look to console her after the break-up of her marriage. According to DuVernay, the door in the film represents a pathway to who we are, and one that Gabby will eventually be “ready to walk through on her own.”

Beautifully shot and directed, I know this story will speak to many of us here.

BEYONCE COVERS VOGUE,TALKS MOTHERHOOD, MUSIC, AND MOVIE

This girl is on FIYAAH-Beyoncé is gorgeous and glamorous on the cover of Vogue’s Power Issue. Queen B poses in designer gowns in the striking images by famed photographer Patrick Demarchelier. In the pages, she discusses her “sensual” and “empowering” new album, which she compares to a blend of 4 and 2008′s I Am…Sasha Fierce. She also chats about giving birth to her one-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, brushing off rumors, and her HBO documentary Life Is But a Dream.

On motherhood: “I felt very maternal around eight months. And I thought I couldn’t become any more until I saw the baby. … But it happened during my labor because I had a very strong connection with my child. I felt like when I was having contractions, I envisioned my child pushing through a very heavy door. And I imagined this tiny infant doing all the work, so I couldn’t think about my own pain. … We were talking. I know it sounds crazy, but I felt a communication.”

On giving birth: “My family and my closest people were there when I gave birth. Everything that scared me just was not present in that room. So for me to really let go and really appreciate every contraction…it was the best day of my life.”

On Blue Ivy: “She’s my road dog. She’s my homey, my best friend.”

On her documentary: “This movie has healed me in so many ways. It makes me want to cry.”

On the recording sessions for her new album, which took place in New York’s Hamptons: “We had dinners with the producers every day, like a family. It was like a camp. Weekends off. You could go and jump in the pool and ride bikes…the ocean and grass and sunshine. … It was really a safe place.”

On blogs: “Don’t scroll down! You’re definitely going to get your feelings hurt.”

VIDEO: RIHANNA "STAY" FT. MIKKY-EKKO

Looking bruised and beaten, Laying it bare: Rihanna appears with little make-up and looking vulnerable and naked in the bathtub in the pared down video for her new single Stay. Her long weave tangled and wet over one side of her face, the slow moving number seems to show Rihanna at her most vulnerable.
The singer seems morose and sad as she occasionally flickers her eyes to the ceiling and puts her head in her hands, showing off long manicured nails and a diamond stud earring.

'This video is everything!' Rihanna wrote on her Twitter on Monday. 'Simple but emotional!'  Stay is the latest single released from Rihanna's seventh studio album Unapologetic.  It follows her hit song Diamonds which topped the U.S. Billboard chart.

COMING OUT PARTY? IS RIHANNA AND CHRIS BROWN ENGAGED? SHE'S SPORTING A RING

Coming out party...They're back: Chris Brown and his girlfriend Rihanna sat in the front row at the Grammy Awards four years after his brutal attack on Ri Ri.  Sending an encrypted message?

Rihanna caused a buzz on Twitter as she took to the stage for the Grammys wearing a simple diamond ring on her wedding finger on Sunday night.
And if that weren't enough, Rihanna sparked a storm of online speculation as she took to the stage wearing what appeared to be a diamond 'engagement ring' on her wedding finger.

Having shed the diamonds she wore on the red carpet, Rihanna replaced the bling with the simple band.

And as she gave her passionate performance, Twitter fans had their eyes firmly on her finger. 'Is that a wedding ring on Rihanna?' tweeted one excited user.
The hot-tempered 23-year-old Rihanna, who opted out of wearing a necktie, hopes his album Fortune will beat Frank Ocean and Miguel for Best Contemporary Album but didn't he must feel some kind of way about that shrug.

We Found Love singer Rihanna, who's since rekindled her love for Chris, looked absolutely elegant as she flashed a hint of cleavage in her crimson chiffon Azzedine Alaïa gown.

It's unclear how the singing pair are acquainted, but Brown probably had another lady-in-red on his mind - his on/off girlfriend Rihanna.
Rihanna already took home the first statue for Best Short Form Music Video for her song We Found Love, and she is scheduled to perform with Bruno Mars and Sting.

On Saturday, Chris crashed his Porsche into a wall on the way to a children's charity event before meeting up with the Rude Boy singer at the Roc Nation pre-Grammy brunch.

The loved-up couple later joined each other in the front row of the Staples Center to watch the ceremony side-by-side.

'It's cool. I'm fine,' he told E!'s Ryan Seacrest. 'A little bit of bumps. I'm good though.'
