Rihanna is going back to blonde. The We Found Love singer posted a saucy snap of herself – apparently naked – on her Twitter page unveiling her newly dyed hair.

It appears to be for a shoot for Elle magazine as she tweeted the photo along with the caption: '#Back2Work 1st Cover of the year!!!! #ELLE.'

The new style, which was created with weave, seems to be paying homage to a shaggy dog but Rihanna still manages to ooze bucketloads of sex appeal in the teasing snap.

She appears to be sitting down with no clothes on in the picture and accessorises her new look with four gold chains around her neck and large gold hoop earrings.

She later went to the Staples Centre where she watched the Denver Nuggets beat the Los Angeles Clippers and seemed to be enjoying herself as she sat in the front row with friends.

Hollywood up and coming "it girl", Actress Kerry Washington graces the cover of Essence Magazine’s March 2012 issue, which honors “Black Women in Hollywood.”

Washington has also been named an honoree for Essence’s fifth annual “Black Women in Hollywood” luncheon, which will be held on February 23. She will be joined by Shonda Rhimes, Octavia Spencer, Paula Patton and Pam Grier.

Next month, Washington will hit the small screen and star in ABCs new show, Scandal. She told Essence,

“I think it’s a really special time to be a woman of color in this business. The landscape of who has the power is changing. We are in more influential positions and are able to have a say in the stories that are told. I feel very lucky to be in the business now…”

We agree with Kerry, in addition to Ava DuVernay’s history-making win at Sundance, as well as Octavia Spencer and Viola Davis‘ wins and pending nominations this Award season, it is a really special time for women of color. My prayer is that we seize the moment!

Such sad news to report, Don Cornelius the creator of the popular African American TV show is dead at 75.... Don was found dead in his Sherman Oaks, CA home this Wednesday morning ... and law enforcement sources tell us it appears he committed suicide no foul play but they are still investigating.

We're told cops discovered the body at around 4 AM PT. Law enforcement sources tell us ... Cornelius died from a gunshot wound to the head and officials believe the wound was self-inflicted.

Sources are saying Cornelius was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

"Soul Train" changed the landscape of television when it debuted in 1971 and ran until 2006 and Cornelius stop hosting the show in 1993. Officials have notified Don's family. Cornelius was 75.

In a 2010 interview with The Times, he said he was excited about a movie project he was developing about "Soul Train."

"We've been in discussions with several people about getting a movie off the ground. It wouldn't be the 'Soul Train' dance show, it would be more of a biographical look at the project," he said. "It's going to be about some of the things that really happened on the show."

According to a Times article, Cornelius’ “Soul Train” became the longest-running first-run nationally syndicated show in television history, bringing African American music and style to the world for 35 years.

Cornelius was arrested in 2008 for beating up his wife. He pled no contest to misdemeanor domestic violence and was placed on 3 years probation. His probation just terminated.

During Don's bitter divorce proceedings in 2009, he told an L.A. judge he was suffering from "significant health issues" and wanted to "finalize this divorce before I die."

The divorce was granted in 2010. Sources close to Don stated ... the TV icon was plagued with health issues for years ... including a stroke and a condition that required brain surgery.

RAVEN SYMONE "SISTER ACT" ON BROADWAY

"That's so Raven is moving from the small screen into the hit Broadway play "Sister Act" Deadline reports that the 26-year-old actress is taking over the lead role in Sister Act at the end of February.

Raven will take over for Patina Miller as Deloris Van Cartier. Whoopi Goldberg, who played Deloris in the film and its sequel, produces the Broadway adaptation featuring original music by Alan Menken, which opened in April 2011.

Rehearsals will start at the end of February and Raven will make her debut at the end of March for a minimum six-month engagement.

Dang Simon Cowell ALREADY?....yep Already 3 In a stunning move, Simon Cowell has cleaned house on his Fox talent competition show -- first firing host Steve Jones and then reportedly dumping both his old pal Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger as judges. At this time, it appears only Cowell and fellow judge L.A. Reid will be returning for the show’s second season.

The show premiered on September 21, 2011 on Fox, and despite Cowell’s assertion that it would garner huge ratings, the show fell short of expectations. The first news that Jones would not be returning as host came late Monday afternoon.

In fact, the Brit -- who never seemed to connect with the U.S. audience -- took to Twitter to confirm the news, writing:

"I won't be hosting next season Xfactor which is a shame but I cant complain as I've had a great time," Steve tweeted on Monday afternoon. "Good luck to everyone on the show."

In an apparent case of classic Hollywood spin, E! reports that a source close to Scherzinger -- who’s currently rehearsing for her upcoming European tour -- claims it was her decision to leave the show. "She wants to focus on her music career," a source told E!. "She's spoken to Simon [Cowell] and he's given her his blessing."

While Fox has confirmed the departures of Jones and Scherizinger, official word on Abdul has yet to come. There are reports that Cowell wants bigger name judges for his show, ala NBC’s The Voice, as a way to boost ratings.

The Voice returns on February 6 with judges Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. The X Factor hopes to have its new host and judges in place by April, according to thewrap.com.

Well at least for one day, hasn't enough water went under the bridge by now for these two power divas to face off. Time to bury the brooms..."The View" announced on Wednesday that Jones will appear on the daytime talk show on Feb. 22 to promote an awareness campaign about heart disease among women.

Walters and Jones had a falling out in 2006 when Jones, one of the five original co-hosts of the daytime chat show, exited "The View." ABC decided not to renew her contract and Jones took Walters by surprise by announcing on June 27 that she would be leaving the show. That exit came more quickly than expected. Walters wouldn't allow her back the next day.

Walters later said that Jones had compelled her co-hosts to lie for her by not revealing that Jones had undergone gastric bypass surgery while on "The View." Jones took her own shots, criticizing Walters for writing an autobiography that revealed details of an affair.

The women later had something serious in common. Both underwent open heart surgery to repair faulty heart valves within two months of each other in 2010.

Jones is coming back to the show to discuss her involvement in the American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" public information campaign. Women are asked to wear red on Feb. 3 to support heart patients.

The Queen of R & B got shut down by the Oscars, Mary J. Blige didn’t hear her name called when nominations for the 84th Annual Academy Awards were announced yesterday. The discouraged singer took to Twitter to address the snub.

Mary J. Blige says she’s sad that her song “The Living Proof” from the film “The Help” didn’t pick up an Oscar nomination on Tuesday. The R&B superstar was on “Live with Kelly” yesterday promoting the movie as a co-host with the Kelly Ripa.

Mary sent out a tweet after the nominations were announced saying that it “feels like the Academy is being mean” by only nominating two songs.

Mary added that she remains “thankful” to all the “true fans.” “The Living Proof” was looking to be a nominee for Best Original Song.

While there are usually five nominees, this year the Academy only selected two songs for the category. Bret McKenzie’s “Man or Muppet” from “The Muppets” made the cut, as did Sergio Mendes’ “Real in Rio” from the film “Rio.

'The Help's' Octavia Spencer & Viola Davis Get Oscar 2012 Nods

The envelope please, three of the stars of the ensemble film "The Help" -- Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer and Jessica Chastain pictured below -- received Oscar nominations for their supporting roles in the civil-rights-era drama, which also earned a nomination for best picture Tuesday morning.

The Help costar Octiava Spencer Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her turn as the spunky and spirited "revenge pie baker" Minnie Jackson. Last year the 39-year-old actress told Anderson Cooper that she beat out A-list actresses Queen Latifah, Mo’Nique and Jennifer Hudson for the breakout screen role.

Also nominated in the category were Berenice Bejo for "The Artist," Melissa McCarthy for "Bridesmaids" and Janet McTeer for "Albert Nobbs."

Having two Black actresses nominated in two major categories at this year’s Oscar telecast makes one wonder how fun the upcoming ceremony would be if originally tapped host Eddie Murphy worked the stage. But of course now we’ll never know.

With nine-time Academy Award veteran host Billy Crystal once again helming emcee duties, even if we get few fresh surprises we know at least we will be promised laughs. All in all, it should make for a very interesting night.

In addition, Siedah Garrett pictured above, who famously wrote "Man in the Mirror" for Michael Jackson, received a nomination for best original song for "Real in Rio" from Rio.

Diddy To Launch Music-Themed Cable Network

TAKE THAT...TAKE THAT!! Is there any avenue Diddy won’t take? Music. Clothing. Broadway. Fragrances. Liquor. And now, a cable network. Word on the curb is that 42 year old music mogul Sean Diddy Combs is working on a music-themed cable network called Revolt to be launched by the end of the year (12/12/12).

According to Broadcast & Cable, Revolt is described as a “music and music news channel with an urban skew.” Sources say the aim is to create a network reminiscent of the old MTV, but for the African-American audience.

As a part of its commitment to the FCC to launch minority-owned networks, Comcast will provide distribution. It is also reported Time Warner Cable will be involved with the Revolt distribution as well.

Diddy told AdWeek in December:

“[...] Twelve months ago, I basically relocated to L.A. I still live in New York, but I’m bi-coastal. I have some major announcements at the top of the year on things I’m producing—an announcement that’s bigger than anyone can realize on something I’m acquiring. And also, films that I’m starring in. I’m looking forward to 2012; it’s a huge transition for me out of music onto the big screen and continuing my legacy as a producer. You know, I’m one of the most successful African-American television executive producers in history. I’ve had six shows on the air at one time. I don’t say that in a braggadocio way. But you should definitely remember this conversation and look back at it and say, ‘I remember he told me he was going to make some huge announcements.’”

The internet has been all the buzz over the weekend about Hedi Klum and her "Kiss By A Rose" husband Seal are heading for divorce and today the media got there wish. In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, the Project Runway host and the singer say:

"While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate.

"We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition.

"We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children's sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy."

Sources are saying Seal's inability to control his anger has become too much for Heidi to take, in no small part because it's affecting their children. The couple are parents to Leni, 7, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2.

Sources are also saying ... their careers also played a part in Heidi's decision. She has become a mega-entrepreneur and extremely rich, and that professional evolution has created a distance between them.

The supermodel, 38, and the Grammy winner, 48, began dating in 2003 after Klum had split from Italian racecar team manager Flavio Briatore. We are sorry to hear this we love them together!
